Tommeh Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 This would be hilarious if there were flights with perfect times to get to/from the match.Foxestalk plane travel. There is, leave east midlands at half 4, 3/4 hour flight, land at 5:15, take in Yeovil's sights and go to the game, last one back is 10:45 plenty of time.

Mmm. This just changed my thoughts on whether to go to this. Plane would be crazy. £22.50 you say? Tempted.

YTFC Fan Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Our first (and probably last) televised game of the season. We never play well on TV Great cos we always win on TV. :-) I think we have lost 1 in the last 20 televised games or something. (Which means I have just jinxed it and Leicester will win 13-0). And some asking about flying. I would recommend it. I went to the Carlisle away game a few years ago and drove to Bristol Airport, flew to Glasgow, hired car down to Carlisle, watched us lose 2-0 and did the whole thing in reverse. Cost was only £50 a head (not including match tickets, food etc). Also, I was home by 10pm. Driving would be 7 hours each way and more in petrol.

lavrentis Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 Get the plane, that would be interesting. That alone, might tempt me.

syston_fox Posted 10 November 2008 Posted 10 November 2008 I do believe it's a Tommeh/Ched gag. I'm actually concerned how many people fell for it as well. Yeovil International Airport?
Tommeh Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 I do believe it's a Tommeh/Ched gag. Dam you shortman, I was reeling them in!
Tilley Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Dam you shortman, I was reeling them in! Damn you. TV it is.
Guest Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 It's good news for me, but I feel for those making the trip. Some probably cannot go now, while those that will now have to change plans. The other half nearly booked a hotel for this one, non-refundable rate too. If he had, would Sky have compensated us for it? Hmmmm
Simi Posted 11 November 2008 Author Posted 11 November 2008  Love it. That was to easy. Memories of Stockport away.
JakeShingler Posted 11 November 2008 Posted 11 November 2008 Our first (and probably last) televised game of the season. We never play well on TV Only against Plymouth we din't.
Corky Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 Only against Plymouth we din't. Stoke wasn't great, S****horpe. The decent performances on TV last season were Colchester, Wolves and Palace.
CosbehFox Posted 12 November 2008 Posted 12 November 2008 The decent performances on TV last season were Wolves Awful, awful game with nil atmosphere. So much for Molineux being a ground of fiery atmosphere. We managed to produced the most boring games ever for Sky. Scunny-Us is the most awful game I have ever seen.
