dave Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 Apparently according to someone in th know Man U and Arsenal have been sniffing around Stearman, figures of 750K have been muted and Arsenal wanted to take him for a 2 week loan to see how good he is. I know we beat off a number of bigger clubs to keep him but if we let him go know there would be uproar as he seems one of the only prospects we have!!

Steven Posted 17 April 2005 Posted 17 April 2005 The reality of the situation is that subject to a reasonable offer we should be selling Stearman. <_< We need the cash and although keeping him would be the thing I would like to happen, an offer of £3 million or more must surely mean he is on his way. <_<

I'll take £3mill plus a season long loan deal or maybe I'll accept a swap-deal with Arsenal involving Sol Campbell. Or maybe I'll believe this when a bid is actually received and accepted by Leicester. The top teams regularly scout the best prospects. The rumours surrounding Dawson's exit from Forest went on for years, since he first broke through into the first team set-up.
