Bert Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 fooking hell. Not good at all. I hope Morgan realises what he's done. IAIN HUME was dramatically readmitted to hospital late last night. The Barnsley striker, 25, nearly died after suffering a fractured skull in the match with Sheffield United 17 days ago. The Canada international suffered the horror injury after being caught by a flying elbow from Blades’ skipper Chris Morgan. Hume was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation and spent several days in a high dependency unit. He was allowed home eight days ago and was progressing well. But Barnsley owner Patrick Cryne said: “Iain complained of feeling unwell and started vomiting. His family sought medical advice and decided the best course of action was for Iain to go back into hospital as a precaution.”
Katy Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 From scanning other forum sites:Not sure on the accuracy but it's the best I can find. fooking hell. Not good at all. I hope Morgan realises what he's done. Ah crap, although not surprising after a head injury. Well done for fishing that lot out lads. Poor bugger.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Horrible scar, but it's from the operation to stop the internal bleeding rather than the actual incident. Hope he recovers to play again, but with his style of play and being an outfield player I'm not sure it would be advisable/permissible for him to wear a Petr Cech-style protective helmet. Heading was a part of his game, so I think if his injury is as bad as the Cech one then that could be his career over.
Uncle Albert Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Not good at all. I hope Morgan realises what he's done. Will he ****! Chris Morgan is a thug. Should get a lengthy ban like my good friend Joey Barton but he wont. Bullshit.
Munzie Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Accidents happen.Wrong place,Wrong time. Have you seen the incident? That was no accident.

eye666 Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Just to add to what was posted before: Barnsley striker Iain Hume has been readmitted to hospital as a precaution after feeling unwell at his home. The 25-year-old, who was released last week after an operation on a fractured skull, will be kept in for a further night, BBC Radio Sheffield understands. "He began feeling unwell at home and we hope it's a case of better safe than sorry," said a Tykes spokesman. Hume suffered the injury to his skull after a challenge from Sheffield United's Chris Morgan on 8 November. The former Leicester City man spent time in a high dependency unit in hospital following the clash where he underwent surgery on his fractured skull and for internal bleeding. On his original release from hospital, Hume had told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I'm happy that I am out of hospital and I will be back (playing football). Nothing will stop me from playing, it's my life." Defender Morgan, 31, received a booking for the challenge, and Barnsley have submitted video footage to the Football Association which has yet to confirm if it will take further action. Hope this isn't as bad as it seems and he can play again. Morgan should be banned and put in jail.

Scow Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Just seen on Sky Sports News that the FA will not take any action against Chris Morgan. That is criminal... shocking. If that is true, then it's hardly a surprise. I live in the hope that Morgan will one day be on the receiving end of a deliberate elbow on the head.

Alexikokopops Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Just seen on Sky Sports News that the FA will not take any action against Chris Morgan. That is criminal... shocking. Raging. Soho Square is ten minutes away from work. I'd go and be outraged there if I wasn't feeling ill and particularly lazy today.
Ric Flair Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Raging. Soho Square is ten minutes away from work. I'd go and be outraged there if I wasn't feeling ill and particularly lazy today. Go and forearm smash one of their mongrels and see how they like it.
davieG Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 If that is true, then it's hardly a surprise. I live in the hope that Morgan will one day be on the receiving end of a deliberate elbow on the head. Prompting action on the perpetrator by the FA no doubt!
andyh1884 Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 FA statement The FA has confirmed that no disciplinary action will be taken against Sheffield United defender Chris Morgan with relation to a challenge on Barnsley's Iain Hume. Morgan was booked for the challenge during the match at Oakwell on 8 November. An FA spokesman said: "When judging whether to take disciplinary action in this case, The FA has had to consider the challenge itself and not the outcome of it. "The FA has been given express direction from FIFA that we cannot upgrade yellow cards to red. On this basis, we can only bring additional charges in the most exceptional cases and only if it can be proved beyond doubt that the actions of a player were a deliberate attempt to injure an opponent. "Having reviewed all available evidence in this case, including submissions made by Barnsley, there is no basis on which an additional charge could brought." Spineless fu ckers. If this was Cristiano Ronaldo, Morgan would've been given the lethal injection
The Stig Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Just seen on Sky Sports News that the FA will not take any action against Chris Morgan. That is criminal... shocking. Let's be honest. That's hardly surprising. Common sense rarely applies with the FA.
