Tommeh Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 Man Utd (Cole and Yorke) Arsenal Wright and Bergkamp) Liverpool (Fowler and Owen) Chelsea (Hughes and Zola) Partnerships like these are a thing of the past thanks to 4-5-1, 4-3-3 and the more defence minded teams seem to be now. Best of the current crop for me is Agbonlahor and Carew, the norwegen dude wins everything in the air and gabby is "fast as fook" along with crouch and Defoe.

Shame Thomas Sorensen doesn't play for Villa, else you'd expect him to win everything in the air, with him being a gk and that. Carew is Norwegian.
Bryn Posted 23 November 2008 Posted 23 November 2008 Can't see how it's anyone other than Man Utd Keane has been hugely underwhelming and Chelsea play Anelka as a lone striker don't they?
Durnerz Posted 24 November 2008 Posted 24 November 2008 For all time Premiership it'd be between Shearer and Sutton and Cole and Yorke in my lifetime.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 November 2008 Posted 24 November 2008 In terms of strength it'd have to be Chelsea, but Anelka and Drogba rarely play together.

Nationwider Posted 24 November 2008 Posted 24 November 2008 I don't see Torres and Keane together. For me, they're both best deployed up top. I guess some might see Keane as a "hole" player; just not me really. Torres is soooo good, he just doesn't need a side-kick. Torres/Gerrard, although not necessarily a partnership, are my favourite Liverpool combination up top. Awesome.
Uncle Albert Posted 25 November 2008 Posted 25 November 2008 Anelka and Drogba can't be classed as a strikeforce surely? Best is Rooney and Ronaldo. Goals galore. Torres and Gerrard is up there. But my favourite is Crouch and Defoe. They have got the two main attributes between them... Pace and aerial threat. Van Persie and Adebayor? Potentially a great parntership but can seem to do it for the ******. If they had the service like Ronaldo and Rooney and Nelks then they would be class.
Uncle Albert Posted 26 November 2008 Posted 26 November 2008 No shouts for Ashton? Him being shit ruled him out.
