sbfox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Only been to a couple of aways this year.... Huddersfield was probably the best for onfield action, that winner from Lloyd was an incredible feeling. I think I enjoyed Fulham the most though. Down in London early, spent the whole day there and then enjoyed the atmosphere that we created. Really top stuff. I don't think I have a worst... Swindon wasn't great. Not only was the result a bit sickening, but I had to witness some 'blue on blue' (literally) violence on the walk back home. Stupid idiots...
C-man Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Been to seven away games this season so far. Huddersfield was the best game 'cos of the rollercoaster of emotions, but Fulham, Orient and S****horpe were class too. Rotherham was by far the worst, luckily it took me 20 minutes to get to my SU and forget about it!
Simi Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Missed Colchester and Swindon so far. Huddersfield celebrations were amazing. Surrounded by people from off here, it was carnage. Couldn't have asked for a better end to the day after what the stewards managed to achieve in the first half. Howard's goal at Oldham was a moment as well, mental celebrations then, again full of people from this forum. Worst obviously as mentioned, Brighton. Wankers.
Rich_Sheffield Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Missed Oldham and Swindon.Best moment was King's winner at S****horpe. Worst moment was Brighton's winner. agreed S****horpe was was quality, close to the pitch, outsang the home fan all game, play some ace football in the first half. one of my favourite Away Leicester matches even though I got a parking ticket, had a flat tire and gashed my leg open on the seat when we King scored. oh well... if that the price I pay to watch Leicester win i'd do it every week.
Simi Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Away games goals just mean a lot more to me. Generally tougher games than at home as teams are prepared to come and attack us. At home, bar maybe Bristol Rovers, goals have been expected and don't really register as much as they do away from home.

Floating Fox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Yes, haven't missed a game yet.Not since Burnley last season in fact I would have missed 2 aways last year if you'd come with me to that one!! Already missed two this year, Cheltenham and Oldham, only because of family commitments though. Fulham was a great one along with Orient and S****horpe. Huddersfield was alright, stewards ruined the 1st half though. Can't wait for Milwall away, should be a right laugh and will be the first away on the train in an age!
Guest Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 I'm only a part time fan, and don't bother with this "away game" malarkey.
James. Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Can't wait for Milwall away, should be a right laugh and will be the first away on the train in an age! First away by foot ever for me!
Floating Fox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 First away by foot ever for me! Not even tubeage?
James. Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Not even tubeage? 15 minute walk... assuming I haven't moved house by then.
syston_fox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Yeah i'm well keen tbh. Sometime in January, sort me one out. Behave! If the Foxestalk game doesn't happen for some reason then a third trip of the season to City of Manchester Stadium could be in order!

Tut. You're getting a little too attached. At least go away with them! I still want to go to Istanbul. Kadikoy!

Staying at home is just casual flirting. If I go away with Man City then it could be seen as cheating.... although progression in the UEFA Cup and I could be tempted!
lildave3 Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Staying at home is just casual flirting. If I go away with Man City then it could be seen as cheating.... although progression in the UEFA Cup and I could be tempted! Forget them, mix it up. Let's go Spurs.
syston_fox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Forget them, mix it up.Let's go Spurs. Trying to get there at some point this seaon but it's bloody expensive and would almost certainly have to be a sunday!
CosbehFox Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Orient. You can beating winning in the capital. Even when I got my foot stuck in the tube door.....Hudders was nice for the drama. Stockport I like the day - proper Northern town but the game...the only time I haven't seen us win this season. I've been Stocky, Cheltenham, Hudders, Orient & Scunny. No-one wanted to go Swindon with me and had tickets for Oldham but had to give them back because me car was stolen the week before. Suffered plenty of bruises, swore a lot in all of the goal celebrations. Carlisle looks very unlikely. Can't go Tuesdays because of Uni except Walsall, I'll skive a lecture for that and make it piece of cake from Povenrty.
lildave3 Posted 27 November 2008 Posted 27 November 2008 Trying to get there at some point this seaon but it's bloody expensive and would almost certainly have to be a sunday! How much? Trouble is, i'm new to this random game lark, I don't know who you'd be able to get tickets for.
