Yup - that's why I don't clean shave and just trim the growth a couple of times a week with a beard trimmer.

You can get a really decent Philips razor for reasonably cheap.

Some of us can't even afford electric, let alone electric shavers.

In that case invest in a decent wet razor with as many blades as possible and replace the blades often to ensure they're sharp. For some reason the sharper the blades, the less I cut myself.

Just ouyt of interest, how often does everyone shave? It really bugs me because if I shave tonight, by the time I wake up tomorrow, I'll have S.A.S style stubble sideburns. It looks alright, butonly when the hair is at a thin sandpaper-like consistency.

I do the same, Mine tends to turn ginger when it gets to a certain length so that's when i trim.

I made loads of mistakes in that sentence.
