They're from different places actually, I've no idea what Arthurs Seat is though.

The first is up on the hill where the observatory and the Pantheon are, Canton Hill maybe? I may well have a picture of the Scott Monument because I've got another 150 odd photos from the little time I was there, but I'm not too sure what it is lol

The second panorama is the other side of Holyrood and the Parliament building.

lol Good knowledge of Edinburgh :P

Arthur's Seat is the great big hill in the middle of Edinburgh, a very extinct volcano. It's kinda one of Edinburgh's biggest and most well-known tourist attractions

The Pantheon and Observatory are on Calton Hill...

And the Scott Monument's a rather tall tower next to Princes Street Gardens, again somewhat unmissable.

Nice shots though

EDIT: Just out of interest, why did you call it Edinburgh 'Castle', with quotation marks?

Quality knowledge, now because I can't remember it do you know the name of the dog that's on a statue/monument that runs off one of the streets from Princes Street (heading into the New Town).

Does anyone have any advice on buying my first digital slr camera? I had a look at a Sony A330 before i realised that I don't really know what to look for.

you probably need to tell a little more about what you intend to do, photographically...

i use a nikon d40x, and it is great, it's a couple of years old so probably much cheaper now too---

Thank you mate. :)

My first slr was a Sony A200, was ok, there was still stuff on it that i couldn't work out after ages of having it. Recently got a Canon EOS 550D and have figured that out a hell of a lot quicker that the A200. Odd really. I was thinking it would be a million times harder based on how much more it has on it, including HD movies.
