Vote who you want to win, and who do you think will win?

I want Calzaghe or Hamilton, I've voted for Calzaghe. I think Hamilton will win though.

Lewis Hamilton (Motor Racing) - 1/2

Rebecca Adlington (Swimming) - 11/4

Chris Hoy (Cycling) - 9/2

Joe Calzaghe (Boxing) - 33/1

Andy Murray (Tennis) - 40/1

Christine Ohuruogu (Athletics) - 80/1

Bradley Wiggins (Cycling) - 80/1

Ben Ainsley (Sailing) - 80/1

Nicole Cooke (Cycling) - 100/1

Rebecca Romario (Cycling) - 100/1

Victoria Pendleton (Cycling) - 100/1

Sir Alex Ferguson (Football) - 100/1

Tell you what without the Olympics this year we'd be struggling wouldn't we?!

Can't see beyond Lewis Hamilton.

From that list I suppose Calazghe for reasons of personal bias, but I suppose Hoy, Ferguson and Adlington are more deserving.

Would have liked to have seen Shane Williams or Ryan Jones make the short list, at least.

I'm not sure about more deserving, Don't get me wrong they have all done fantastic but I don't see many with a professional career unbeaten.

I'd like to see Chris Hoy win it. However, Lewis Hamilton will win it.

+1, either way it'll be for someone who has actually achieved something which makes a nice difference.

Sure. But Calzaghe won last year and what's he done since? Beaten an over-the-hill Roy Jones Jnr. :dunno:

Fair point. Thought he won last year but wasn't sure - Just adds more to the fact I doubt he'll win it 2 times in a row.

I'd like to see Hoy win it. He's an amazing athlete and you can't say fairer than three gold medals at the Olympics. The Sports Journalists Association have voted him Sportsman of the Year for 2008, which is a more worthy award that the BBC gong.

Hamilton is a fantastic driver, role model and seems a genuinely nice guy. But as Motor Racing isn't a sport, he gets bollock-all votes from me.

As a world champion, Lewis Hamilton deserves every credit.

But I wouldn't feel comfortable voting for a tax-dodger.

And treble Olympic champions only come along once in a lifetime.

I hope Chris Hoy wins it, but the petrolheads will probably decide otherwise.. :(

I want Adlington to win. She does a real sport. Driving a car is not a sport.

However does she put her life on the line every time she does her job/sport?

It's his choice and he wreaks the benefit with pay, e.t.c, but all this "Driving a car is not a sport" is pretty disrespectful really, It's quite skillful (No-one without years after practice and training could get in a F1 car and drive it.). It's not just driving any car is it? Is horse racing not a sport? Afterall it's only riding a horse isn't it?

What is your definition of a sport then?

Why?

Chris Hoy deserves it, but Hamilton will get it.

By far the best manager in the prem and has been for nearly 2 decades and one ManU both the League and Champions League last season.

Doesn't come close for me in comparison to the achievements of Chris Hoy & Rebecca Adlington and even Lewis Hamilton for that matter.
