JoeyB Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Signing. Hopefully he will be a great one for them.
Joe. Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Well we'll finally see whether he's actually good enough for a top class league. The Dutch league has fallen dramatically in terms of class in the last decade.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Well we'll finally see whether he's actually good enough for a top class league. The Dutch league has fallen dramatically in terms of class in the last decade. Exactly what I was about to say. He's certianly got something about him, I really hope he makes the grade at Madrid. Seems like he's got a good attitude.
Tevez Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Great signing, shame they missed out on Carl Cort though he'd kill La Liga.
AmericanScott Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Big fan of Klass. I really hope he does well. Good luck to him.
Tevez Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Great signing, he is a goal machine. Owen's a goal machine me ode kidney bean, but did he have the minerals at Madrid?
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Well we'll finally see whether he's actually good enough for a top class league. The Dutch league has fallen dramatically in terms of class in the last decade. Without a doubt. He seems to have what it takes. High profile signing yet again by Madrid, will it work?
BoneHead. Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Owen's a goal machine me ode kidney bean, but did he have the minerals at Madrid? When fit and playing...Yes!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Also £17million is spare change for Madrid. They can't really lose this one.
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 I thought Owen was very good at Real, considering the amount of games he actually started. The fans never wanted him to go, I am certain he would have went on to score a lot more goals for them had he been given more time. Fickle club, That is why I dislike them. Barca!!!!

The Dutch league has fallen dramatically in terms of class in the last decade. Read this - http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2008/...ropean-football Nicely put Everybody loves Real. Everyone in Spain hates Real, just for the fact they were Franco's club. Looks 50/50 now for me to go Ajax v Feyenoord in Feb, he was one of the main reason I wanted to go.

Darkzzz_ Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Everybody loves Real. Well it seems they don't do they. I have never liked them, always been Barca for me.
BoneHead. Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Well it seems they don't do they. I have never liked them, always been Barca for me. REAL!! REAL!! REAL!!
Samilktray Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Tenerife are the only relevant Spanish football team.
Finnegan Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Owen's a goal machine me ode kidney bean, but did he have the minerals at Madrid? Uhm. Yes actually. His goals / minutes on the pitch ratio was pretty impressive.
Darkzzz_ Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Uhm. Yes actually. His goals / minutes on the pitch ratio was pretty impressive. Exactly!! BARCA BARCA. Good Lad....
shen Posted 2 December 2008 Posted 2 December 2008 Well we'll finally see whether he's actually good enough for a top class league. The Dutch league has fallen dramatically in terms of class in the last decade. It might have fallen in quality, but it's still produced some of the best talents in world football over the past ten years: RVN, RVP, Arjen Robben, Van der Vaart, Sneijder, Heitinga, Babel and so on... I for one like that 'smaller' clubs are competing in the Dutch league now, like AZ, Groningen, Heerenveen and NAC.
