davieG Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 If he was seriously thinking of jumping ship in January, would he be attending this Signing session tonight? And has the club singled him out amongst this lot, see quote in order to massage his ego as part of the means of getting him to sign because they fear he will leave. Other players who are due to appear on the evening include Matt Oakley, Steve Howard, Alex Tunchev, Michael Morrison, Harry Worley, Max Gradel, Andy King, Dave Martin, Mark Davies, Lloyd Dyer, James Wesolowski, Levi Porter, Ashley Chambers, Joe Mattock, Jack Hobbs, and Bruno Berner..I definitely think the later by the club could be the case, but to turn up and make loads of signings and then bugger off 2 weeks later would make him a somewhat hated figure. With my naivety cap on I think it indicates he wants to and intends to stay.
CosbehFox Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 TBH I don't think Fryatt wants off in January. Maybe in the near future, he's just keeping his options should our good start to the season come to nothing. City have been pulling out the stops in regards to ego - standing ovation at home to Southend, signing sessions, extra praise in the local rag's. If it means getting a few kids with Fryatt on the back to boost the coffers down the Megastore, then it's worked. Would help if a few cute kiddies were there asking him to stay, I might force a three year old now there with a piece of paper saying 'CONTRAT' Me, Matty Fryatt, sign at Lesta for 3 years. I got 10 pounds a week' SIGNED....... All in appalling handwriting and said with a smile plus poor spelling. Might tug at the heart strings.

I suspect that he's contractually obligated to attend this sort of thing if required to by the club and if negotiations aren't going to plan from the club's perspective, what better way to let him know what many fans currently think of him
davieG Posted 15 December 2008 Author Posted 15 December 2008 davieG - Is he a Playboy or a Payboy (big up my contract)?
Alexikokopops Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 knowitall has indicated that he really does enjoy it here. Lets hope for the best.
leicesterseddon Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 He DID get three consecutive hat-tricks then.
Zingari Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 yes , it's very naive to read anything into this . it's not unusual for players to do/say anything ,and pack their bags the next day this is me in my cynical cap though
surrifox Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 I wouldn't read anything much into this, he's not a contract rebel as such and has no beef with the club that we've been told about. He's in a run of good form and is likely to keep it going if he goes along with the club promotional and commercial activity along with his team mates and doesn't get too preoccupied with setting himself apart
morris1234 Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 i wouldnt be surprised if he left! some of our fans are twats and are whats wrong with this club. i refer to some comments (most recent that ive heard) on radio leicester after the game 1) 'fryatt was rubbish today, and i dont care if he leaves as he proved last season hes not a championship striker' well firstly, way to encourage the lad and try to get him to stay, no wonder theres rumours he might leave. also he sadly cant score every game but hes doing his best! plus hes getting more service this season, we now have a much much more creative midfield than last season. 2) 'we need to share the load and score goals in other areas'how long have we needed a 20 goal a season striker, and now hes scoring youre telling him to let others score?? would you rather he didnt score 22 goals before christmas? these are just a few commetns ive heard recently but it drives me mad especiallty the really stupid fans that cant even get the players names right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope he does re-sign for us but cant blame him if he wants to leave, hes scored 22 goals yet city fans still moan. we beat southend 3-0 at home, yet they still find something to moan about. we come from 1-0 down to win 2-1 away at a nasty ground and guess what they still moan! people are still moanming about howard, what do they expect, do they expect him to hear their comments and go' you know what im a striker i should score in my next game duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh' i wish it was that easy! sorry to vent but im fed up, most people on here know what they are talking about and each have intresting opinions but the fans that think fryatt signed from derby and the fans that think lloyd dyer is 18 do my tree in!
surrifox Posted 15 December 2008 Posted 15 December 2008 moaning,ill-informed ,ignorant,twattish- some of our our fans ...surely not? Mind you if you read some of the comments posted on the match day thread if the opposition score you can add "emotionally incontinent" to the list. I assume some were only on line because the samaritans were engaged.
