But the victory came at a price. Vidic's red card means he could miss BOTH legs of the Champions League clash with Inter. His absence might give Mourinho's men the edge.

Liga barely won any games in their Copa Libetadores run and had lost a few players since. A good team for sure but as the match reports indicate, Man U could (should, even) have had that game wrapped up in 30 minutes.

Never heard or seen Man Utd 18 league titles because they don't live in the past. Even when they won the European cup last year, they didn't bored you to death with it. Man Utd are like Oasis, they don't live in the past with their glory. They just stride to make themselves better each year.

The term "Premiership" is just arbitrary, it's still the same competition with the same clubs that it always was, so why shouldn't their fans brag about the fact that they've won more league titles than anyone else?
