Bryn Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 1 Manchester United 2 Liverpool 3 Arsenal 4 Wolverhampton Wndrs 5 Preston North End 6 Aston Villa 7 Sheffield United 8 Sunderland 9 Everton 10 Burnley 11 Blackburn Rovers 12 Bolton Wanderers 13 West Bromwich Albion 14 Newcastle United 15 Manchester City 16 Derby County 17 Notts County 18 Bristol City 19 Sheffield Wednesday 20 Nottingham Forest All time league table. We're 25th. Not the 20 teams I personally would associate the most with the top flight, nor the 20 biggest clubs in my opinion, but in terms of points earned in their history that's it. I tried to find the one that was based purely on points earned in the top flight but I couldn't find it, I think we were 21st in that.

Fosse Boy Posted 29 December 2008 Posted 29 December 2008 Keep things the way they are, teams deserve their place in the league system based on the way they play at the moment, not any other factors. That's my input.

I tried to find the one that was based purely on points earned in the top flight but I couldn't find it, I think we were 21st in that. Couldn't believe this. But according to this site, it's absolutely true. We're still ahead of some big names, though. Chelsea are 27th, Spurs are 39th, Leeds are 44th and West Ham are 64th. Oh, and Cov are 68th. In the all-time Premier League table, we're in 20th spot, though Fulham are about to overtake us..
Ultra Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 This is the all-time table for the top-flight 1 Liverpool 2 Arsenal 3 Everton 4 Manchester United 5 Aston Villa 6 Newcastle United 7 Tottenham Hotspur 8 Chelsea 9 Manchester City 10 Sunderland 11 Blackburn Rovers 12 Sheffield Wednesday 13 West Bromwich Albion 14 Bolton Wanderers 15 Derby County 16 Leeds United 17 Nottingham Forest 18 Middlesbrough 19 Wolverhampton Wndrs 20 Sheffield United 21 West Ham United 22 Birmingham City 23 Burnley 24 Stoke City 25 Leicester City 26 Preston North End 27 Southampton 28 Coventry City 29 Portsmouth 30 Huddersfield Town In the all-time table for second-tier matches, we're in 2nd place behind Barnsley.
turkish14 Posted 31 December 2008 Author Posted 31 December 2008 By the time we hopefully get back to the prem i think sunderland would of overtaken us in the alltime prem league table as there 52 points behind.
Ultra Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 By the time we hopefully get back to the prem i think sunderland would of overtaken us in the alltime prem league table as there 52 points behind. It depends if they stay up this year.
turkish14 Posted 31 December 2008 Author Posted 31 December 2008 I think they will stay up as that sbragia (or watever his name is) has got the confidence back in the players. next season is a different matter though. Hopefully we will be back in the prem in 2010-2011 season so Sunderland wont increase there lead too much.
Ultra Posted 1 January 2009 Posted 1 January 2009 Ricky Sbragia is unproven as a manager. He should keep them up but there are no guarantees, especially this season.
