coale39 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 So surely DB has won then? Why would they stop him buying a ticket?
Libertine Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 So surely DB has won then? Why would they stop him buying a ticket? I imagine he chose not to. Wouldn't be very popular if he had.
Granno Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Channel 4 banned him from purchasing a ticket.
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 There can't be a system for predicting the lottery numbers, it's impossible. Just want to know what this illusion is now, very annoying. He's bloody good though.
AjcW Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Id imagine over the next four weeks he will earn near enough that anyway. And i think channel 4 may have just found the man to fill some of the 200 hour gap left by big brother. It may all be fakes and illusions but its certainly entertaining.
coale39 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I imagine he chose not to. Wouldn't be very popular if he had. He would if he gave it all to different charities. Also, if he did win it, there would obv be no possible way its a fix.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 If he can paralyze me next week he'll be my new hero.
Craig Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 He didn't predict them. I don't know how he did it, but he didn't predict them. He said at the start that he couldn't show the balls because BBC have the rights to show the lottery result first... Well, he wouldn't be showing the result would he? If it was a prediction, it'd be just that... Not the result. That was just an excuse. I'm starting to think that the shaky camera work played a bit of a part in masking something graphical.

Craig Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Dude... we know he didnt predict it . Well some clearly don't
Libertine Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Dude... we know he didnt predict it . Well we don't do we.
The Birch Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I've no idea how he did that. There will be a lot of speculation between now and friday, all great publicity for his show on firday and channel 4's viewing figures.
Granno Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Until Friday we won't know. Highly unlikely he predicted it, but not impossible.
AjcW Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Well we don't do we. If he did... He wouldnt be allowed to explain it on friday. Because any system can be learned. It would take effort obviously but it can be learned. And surely camelot wouldnt allow that... because well it would ruin the lottery. So my bets are on illusion And anyway hes even stated in the trailers that these are events of misdirection.
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Well we don't do we. Odds of 14,000,000/1 don't stack highly in your favour do they really?
maddog Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 He's certainly got the nation talking thats for sure, and millions will be watching Friday. I'm up for 200 hours of Derren Brown instead of Big Brother He's probably worked with 1000 top mathimatical professors from around the globe 15 hours a day for an entire year and worked out some sort of formula to work out the numbers. Or he's studied every single previous lottery draw since it started and found a pattern/formula, perhaps using every single previous lottery number in history to work out todays numbers. Or it's an illusion made to get idiots like me coming up with theories about how he did it and to make me watch Friday.
Libertine Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Odds of 14,000,000/1 don't stack highly in your favour do they really? I'm not saying he did. It's absurd. Can hardly rule it out though. There's always the 1.
Granno Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Odds of 14,000,000/1 don't stack highly in your favour do they really? Every so often someone comes along and defies all the odds.
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 He's probably worked with 1000 top mathimatical professors from around the globe 15 hours a day for an entire year and worked out some sort of formula to work out the numbers. How can there be a formula to a totally random draw?
Libertine Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Every so often someone comes along and defies all the odds. Exactly. Look at Jesus.
coale39 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Hopefully get viewing figures up for friday and make channel 4 some dough.
Libertine Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 How can there be a formula to a totally random draw? I don't believe it, but it's more to do with relativity and how recently certain numbers have appeared etc.
Milky Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Split screen most likely. Him and the tv on one side and the ball side was fake. They just changed them as the balls came out.
maddog Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Odds of 14,000,000/1 don't stack highly in your favour do they really? What are the odds of us being on the Earth and not another planet What are the odds of the Earth staying in orbit where it is and not just falling into the sun killing us all Combined with England winning 5-1 tonight, and Greece winning Euro 2004. Put all those in an accy mate, they all happened, and the odds have that have got to be at least 15,000,000/1
