Because then he could have told people what numbers to get and, like, that'd be cheating.

I would be a lot more convinced if he'd shown those balls to the people and the viewers before going off to do the show.

Even though I don't understand what happened, and some of the things in the past have been abit speculative, I still like and have a lot of respect for Derren Brown, He is just a really clever man who can play with people's mind, real or not, I'm a fan.

I'm not sure, I kinda got lost by the end but if it turns out the machine was fixed, there would be uproar from the millions (including myself) that bought a ticket that night, so it's unlikely.

Agreed, I normally hate this kind of stuff but Brown always gets my attention because he is clever and entertaining.

I like the idea of having 24 people guessing the 6 random numbers drawn in sequence and taking a mean value for each of these which is then used to inform the prediction.

What I didn't like, as it clouded the issue, and as time went on made it all the more confusing to understand, was that he got them to subconsciously write down the numbers. He didn't go into detail about how this was done. Delibrately imo.

What would be an even better idea is to take the 24 people and try it with 100, the more people you use, the better the prediction.

I don't think he used this system to generate the numbers. But it's worth a try.

He's just a very good conman who talks so quick he confuses you.

Or you could work out the average post it online, all of us get a ticket.

Just PM the numbers to everyone who took part instead of posting it so people who didn't take part can't take our winnings :giggle:

It won't even work I don't think but there is just that little bit of doubt in my mind that would make it interesting to try.

So basically he's saying he defied odds of around 14,000,000/1 with a bit of psychic energy. Alright Derren.

Next week's looks genuinely interesting and potentially very impressive however. If he can stick me to my seat I'll be immensely surprised and impressed. I'm quite sceptical (if you hadn't already guessed) about this kind of thing though, so I'm not expecting it to work.

It really is, but i'm always looking to how they did it, and looking for a flaw in their tricks, and it just does my winds me up because obviously not many people can explain.

I got the feeling after the first ten minutes he was leading us down the garden path with the maths avenue. It was a simple magic trick and it's probably so simple such as LEDs or something like that, it would have been very lame if he'd explained it for real.
