StanSP Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 For me, I am looking forward to this. A pretty good cast to return with too (Tom Cruise, Lee Evans, Stephen Fry and music by Franz Ferdinand) I am especially looking forward to seeing Lee Evans and Franz Ferdinand performing their new single, Ulysses. After the debacle involving Ross and Brand last year, it's nice to see him back on tele, as I believe the media totally blew the whole thing out of context. So, thoughts on whether you like the show or not, and if you will be watching it! (Apologies if there is already a thread about this)
Lovejoy Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 I'll watch it. Saving the pennies so nowt better to do.
Matt Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Glad its back, and he did do wrong but all the people who complained about him of which the majority didn't even listen to broadcast but it was all made into a big scandal with more and more people jumping on the bandwagon can fook off. Good line up - Barr Franz Ferdinand - Shite.

And I love how the news channels only interviewed the older generations about their opinions. They didn't ask teenagers or young adults did they? It was clear that the older generation hated it, but younger generations found it hilarious.
Stevosevic Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Don't really like him myself, rarely asks interesting or more serious questions like Parkinson, but sometimes watch depending on the guests.

I wouldn't say I found it hilarious, It was quite disrespectful and I don't agree with what he did, but at the same time I didn't listen to it at the time, and even if I did I wouldn't have complained about it, yet even before this people (mostly of a certain age - i.e - The older generations as you said) hated Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand (I will admit I used to hate Brand but he has grown on me) and were jumping on excuse to complain about these two.

Regrettably so must I. He's a tvvat, but bloody hell is the guy funny.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 January 2009 Posted 23 January 2009 Anything with Lee Evans in gets my vote.
Lovejoy Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Well I thought it was a decent show, though Wossy looked well embarrassed understandably about you-know-what. And Franz Ferdinand are guff on the telebox. I've seen them live, and they're miles better than that .
StanSP Posted 24 January 2009 Author Posted 24 January 2009 A pretty good show overall I thought Lee Evans could have got more show-time, didn't seem like he was on for long. Anyone know who is on next week? Heard Eddie Izzard was on, couldn't catch anyone else

Stinkenzo Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Never watched it with interest until last night. Decent.
