dandannieldanok Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 What is the point of Twitter? I don't use it for myself but I like reading other people's, like Lance Armstrong's. I can see why famous people would use it so fans can see what they're up to, but not entirely sure why anyone else would personally.
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 It is just a live feed update of nonsense really. I think that is why I love it. You don't have to put loads of details online, you don't get all of these annoying poker requests and mafia war requests and it is very simple and easy. I am hooked, I must say.
Red Leicester Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 What is the point of Twitter? I use it to update my Faceybook statsii...but beyond that I use it for work because my work account can be used to update people of important notices, I can incorporate a java box on our website to show the Twitter updates and we can use the audio-blogging Audioboo as part of a seamless Web 2.0 integration. All told - it may not be great for an individual but it is worth its weight to me now I've worked out what I can actually use it for you don't get all of these annoying poker requests and mafia war requests ...and that x 10 to the power of infinity
samlcfc Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 I like a bit of Twitter. Whiles away the hours at work reading what all the beautiful people are up to.Love hearing from Kevin Smith and Jon Favreau on the set of IM2. All y'all add me up. General_Smuts whats IM2, that Kevin Smith makes some well funny films
mja Posted 6 June 2009 Posted 6 June 2009 I find twitter pretty useful for following bands/record labels- if you choose to follow a load of your favourite bands etc, you only need to look in one place for any updates/news i.e. if they're announcing new dates, about to be on certain tv or radio shows etc. I'm sure that if the appetite for this increases it will become a very useful tool- you'll only have to look in one place to find all the latest information about all the things you are interested in (plus ball bags telling you they're about to have their tea etc).

Guest Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 I have signed up to this, and still don't know what it's purpose is. I would prefer a porpoise. Or a dolphin.
Libertine Posted 4 July 2009 Author Posted 4 July 2009 The purpose is celebrity stalking. Updating yourself is boring.

Guest Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 The purpose is celebrity stalking. Updating yourself is boring. All the celebs I am interested in are unattainable and/or married. Actually, that just means unattainable full stop.

Guest Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 You're attractive enough to be a celebrity mistress. Ha ha, thanks! Just don't tell Sir Fynwy!
