Guest Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 I also will not be using the s&r, I have my reasons and the people who need to know why do know. Will be making an appearance elsewhere as city without beer (like last night) could lead to depression. You didn't tell me.
AoWW Posted 4 March 2009 Posted 4 March 2009 You didn't tell me. You're obviously not one of the "people that need to know"!!!
Sir Fynwy Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 You didn't tell me. I did, you never listen, women!!!!
Sir Fynwy Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Gateway? With their food hygiene problems? not likely
Thracian Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Wonder if all this will herald the end of cherry beer at the Swan. They'll all be missed at the place, that's for sure.
hairy Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Gateway? Is that the pub that posts on visiting teams forums saying they are welcome before the match?
Dr The Singh Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Is that the pub that posts on visiting teams forums saying they are welcome before the match? Gateway is ok but lacks atmosphere!!

I'm sure we'll be back at some time but a few weeks of other venues won't hurt. If the glu kriek was still on Lisa wouldn't have stood for a move away.

Guest Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Wonder if all this will herald the end of cherry beer at the Swan. Someone, and I cannot imagine who would do such a thing, has drunk all the bloody stuff.
Salieri Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Hmmm, still don't know the best pub to go to to meet up with some of you guys Swan and Rushes Dock Think its gonna just have to be a pub crawl!
Ultra Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 With their food hygiene problems? not likely It's been taken over since then. May go in there soon to check out the new beers (probably not on a matchday though..)
Salieri Posted 5 March 2009 Posted 5 March 2009 Also....wheres the best places to go for Sat night? Travelling up Friday and coming back Sunday so Saturday nights gonna have to be a large one!
Ultra Posted 7 March 2009 Posted 7 March 2009 Also....wheres the best places to go for Sat night? Travelling up Friday and coming back Sunday so Saturday nights gonna have to be a large one! Best places would be the Criterion on Millstone Lane or Vin IV (where I'm going) on King Street. Went to the Swan at 1pm and it was rammed with glory-hunting egg chasers. So I've relocated to the Gateway. The beer's better (and cheaper) and the pub also has a big screen so I can watch the sky blues get beat..
Ultra Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 Be warned - the S & R is likely to get very busy again on Saturday as once AGAIN the City and egg-chaser games clash.
Dr The Singh Posted 17 March 2009 Posted 17 March 2009 I'm out this weekend and will be at the game!! SR is gonna be rammed with egg ball foookers!! Does the dry dock allow young ens, junior will also be in attendance and what are the other alternatives!!
