Managed to catch the second half, very good advert for English Football but it just lacked the edge that Gerrard has for them. Shame though, I'm sure Rafa will go to the drawing board and strengthen up but you can't knock Liverpool in European Football.

I think there are different situations to be honest.

I don't like the ignorance of a lot of these people that claim to support Liverpool and just constantly look down on people that support Leicester 'cos they're shit. A lot of these people do not understand the concept of supporting the team if they are not good. Most of the people that I'm talking about from my college are just influenced by Sky Sports and do what the norm is. It helps to kill of the fanbase of the hometowm teams.

I don't mind Liverpool and want to see them do well but I do question how they become to support them, if that pisses you off then sobeit.

You can do what you like.

I follow Barca and spend money on watching them every year, I do it because I have always had a liking for them, I love the tradition of the club, it is a peoples club.

Don't take this the wrong way but I could never wear another English teams shirt and support them. That is wrong in my opinion. If barca get beat I don't get annoyed much because I just don't feel the same level of passion for them than I do with city.

I can certainly laugh off at Barca defeat but with City it hits hard me until the next game!

Yes, there was a bit of playacting, and hacking, from BOTH sides. But none of it should detract from a riveting game from which both teams and their fans can take credit.

It's probably the best clash I've ever seen between two Premier League clubs since the 3-3 City-Arsenal game back in the day.

I tend to agree with Nath.

I like Arsenal and Liverpool purely because they entertain me - I want to see them go as far as possible in the Champions League because I love watching their games. Today's 4 - 4 thriller was testement to why I love to see Liverpool play in the Champions League, they're just enormous entertainment value.

I couldn't give a fook if they're Northerners, Southerners, Scousers, Mancs or whatever. I don't give a toss if their fans are good or if they were Leicester's rivals in 1549 I just want to watch thrilling football and I'm rarely thrilled by Manchester United or Chelsea playing against teams I know nothing about.

But I'd never wear another English team's shirt or actively follow them much domestically. Certainly wouldn't be paying anywhere near as much attention to them if we were in the same league as them. But I'm fond of a few foreign clubs - in part because I love the Spanish league and in part because I really want to travel Europe anyway so eyeing up the likes of Rayo, St Pauli and co' for drop-in visits entertains me.

I can't for the life of me see how anyone in their right mind (Real fans aside) could dislike Barca, though. They play the most attractive football on the planet.
