Flynny Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Anyone else using it? It's a bit shit with flash occasionally, otherwise it's brilliant. Literally runs twice as fast on my shitty 7-year old computer, takes about half as long to start up as firefox, and I just generally like it a lot more.
Libertine Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Just checking it out now. It's okay so far. No major difference to FF.
Flynny Posted 25 February 2009 Author Posted 25 February 2009 Apart from not being slow and bloated yeah. Also opening it and getting your 9 most visited pages displayed in little mini windows is nice.

Libertine Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 I've imported my bookmarks. How do I get a Bookmark tab on the toolbar? Bit of a noob question but screw it.

With the page open, click the star to the left of the address bar. Oh GET the bar? Click the spanner, check 'always show bookmarks bar'

fox123 Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 Are you able to 'Clear Private Data' like you are in Firefox?
Flynny Posted 25 February 2009 Author Posted 25 February 2009 Are you able to 'Clear Private Data' like you are in Firefox? Fairly sure you can - I've had no need to look because Chrome has 'Incognito Window' - possibly the best feature. Anything you open in an incognito window leaves no cache, cookies, history, or any trace at all. Probably why it's known as the 'Porn Window'.

the_bowman Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 'Tis a beautiful thing I wouldn't be without it
Part Of The Crowd Posted 25 February 2009 Posted 25 February 2009 as i said in the other thread be aware anything you do/post/upload/edit/whatever using google chrome legally belongs to google if you've agreed to the terms and conditions (which you have to to use it)
Finnegan Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Stop using my memes. Contrary to popular belief, you're not the only person on the internet.

Wasn't there loads of issues with it though? I remember this thread
Hitesh Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Are you able to 'Clear Private Data' like you are in Firefox? Yeah, click the spanner and select Clear Browsing data. One thing I would like to see on here is the Google Toolbar. Also, I am finding it crashes sometimes when trying to view flash stuff. It didn't like my Flash coursework for some reason but that may be down to my coding than anything else!
Libertine Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 Contrary to popular belief, you're not the only person on the internet. That would be awesome. I'd be the top poster and everything.
The People's Hero Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 That would be awesome. I'd be the top poster and everything. You wish. Best you can hope for is administering a sloppy handjob to the top poster. And by sloppy, I mean wet, not careless.

Darkzzz_ Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I use both Firefox and Chrome but I am certainly swaying towards Chrome. It is quality.
The People's Hero Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 How about you die TPH? I mean seriously, DIE!!! Necrophiliac. You disgust me, shaggy.
The Reverend Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 I've been using this for the last few days now, and it really is very nice. Layout is very good looking. I like it. I wish it had some sort of compatibility with my Google G1.
Daggers Posted 26 February 2009 Posted 26 February 2009 What's the tipping point when a company goes from being the People's Champion to Just another collection of imperialist bastards? In Google's case - this. There's only so much of your life you want to be giving over to a single entity and this is a step too far.

Eventually Daggers, we'll be going to watch Google F.C at the Google Stadium, in Googletown, Googleshire. They're taking over i tell thee!
