City Lad Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 ... but this is the 'brand new' logo: Football Shirt Culture Extensive research was conducted by The FA with different groups before the design changes were undertaken in-house. The aim was to establish what ‘The FA’ and ‘England’ represent in people’s lives, and to gain a greater insight into the sense of national identity the ‘Three Lions’ can deliver. The FA’s Group Commercial Director, Jonathan Hill, commented: “We have taken great care in updating The FA’s ‘Three Lions’ Crest.

lavrentis Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 I imagine it has something to do with Lancashire and Yorkshire. History was never my strong point.

Alexikokopops Posted 2 March 2009 Posted 2 March 2009 I don't like it.Does anybody know what the roses represent? It's the Tudor Rose. When Henry VII came into power it ended the war between the House of Lancaster and the House of York. Their symbols were the red and the white rose respectively, hence the combined Tudor Rose It's used a lot in heraldry
