BlabyFox Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 On bbc radio leicester something about yellow cards being wiped out as some point in the season? Apparently Fryatt has 5 yellows over the course of the season but isn't going to serve a suspension. Anyone know about this or can anyone shed any light?
DB11 Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Yeah they get wiped out around April or something. Comes up this time every season
BlabyFox Posted 14 March 2009 Author Posted 14 March 2009 Yeah they get wiped out around April or something.Comes up this time every season Then how come Fryatt isn't going to serve a suspension - its not April yet.
DB11 Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Then how come Fryatt isn't going to serve a suspension - its not April yet. Cos I said around.
Lillehamring Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Cos I said around. boy, you're on fire tonight!
Craig Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Well how come Howards suspended for the next two then?
Milky Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Well how come Howards suspended for the next two then? Really? edit: sorry just read that on the OS. 10 yellows is probably different.
Craig Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Really? Meanwhile, Steve Howard will now miss the upcoming games against Colchester United and Peterborough United after he received his 10th booking of the season on the day.
Milky Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 After February 28th the Football Assocation allow a yellow card amnesty for players who reach five bookings, meaning that any player who gets booked after this date will not receive a one-match suspension should he reach the threshold of five bookings. However, the amnesty only applies to five yellow cards - players who accumulate a total of 10 cautions before April 12th will still be hit with a statutory two-game ban.
Bert Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 In the next two games, the Howard haters will see how much of a big player he is for us. He will be missed.
Daggers Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 In the next two games, the Howard haters will see how much of a big player he is for us. He will be missed. Not the next one - but Boro, that will be telling.
Bert Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Not the next one - but Boro, that will be telling. Don't under-estimate Colchester.
Corky Posted 14 March 2009 Posted 14 March 2009 Doesn't matter if Barry plays like he did today. He did well, but I'd rather have Howard really. In the next two games, the Howard haters will see how much of a big player he is for us. He will be missed. Yep.
Sparky Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Think the cut off date for the 5 yellow cards is Feb 28th
StanSP Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Give Chambers a chance next match maybe?? Bet NP won't do that though.
Dan Posted 15 March 2009 Posted 15 March 2009 Howard is on about 90 yellows because he is rough. He is the most fouled player I have ever seen i've never seen someone get fouled so often yet pick up that many bookings, Millwall did nothing but try and get him sent off. Thanks to having no height up front, Colchester - draw, Peterborough - lose.
BlabyFox Posted 15 March 2009 Author Posted 15 March 2009 Doesn't matter if Barry plays like he did today. Probably the least-sensible thing you have ever said in your life daggers.
