Kilworthfox Posted 16 March 2009 Author Posted 16 March 2009 For some reason I thought he was out of contract. Obviously not. 1 yr left mate
Fox92 Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Goalkeepers Henderson – Get rid. Cisak Logan – Sell. Petney Defenders Kisnorbo – Keep, although I think he may leave. Mattock Tunchev Powell Edworthy – Get rid. Berner Morrison O'Neill Cox Rowe - Turner Midfield Oakley King Dyer – Not sure, inconsistency is probably what kept him from being in the league before. Probably sell if wishes come true. Gradel Clemence - Good palyer if back up is required. Wesolowski – Sell. Sorry Weso, I do like you but your injury prone and that I think. Talented though. Adams Porter – Get rid. Forwards Fryatt Howard Dickov Chambers Campbell - Not sure. If attacking wishes come true then would be sold. Hayles King Verma – Who? Sappleton - Get rid. Wish List – Probably pit pocket the relegated sides. Andrew Surman [southampton] - Although I can see a side like Fulham/Wigan pinching him. Zheng Zhi [Charlton Athletic] - Scored at Wolves on Saturday. A very good midfield player at that level. Marcus Tudgay [sheffield Wednesday] – Not another old Derby man. Fairly tall as well. Jason Koumas [Wigan Athletic] – What can I say, LEGEND! Get him in whatever the price. Jermaine Beckford [Leeds United] – If they stay down like mentioned before. Jack Hobbs [Liverpool] – 750k should command the deal. That’s what Liverpool paid for him. Frank Simek [sheffield Wednesday] – Right back, which we need. Seen him for Sheffield Wednesday and looks fine. David Marshall [Norwich City] – At this level, a very good goalkeeper. If Norwich go down… Tom Cleverly [Manchester United] - Surely not going to be a regular at Old Trafford so lets get him. David Martin [Liverpool] - In need of a goalkeeper and Martin would surlely be fine for number 1 or 2. Team for next season. [f wishes are true] GK. David Marshall DR. Frank Simek DC. Aleksander Tunchev DC. Jack Hobbs DL. Joe Mattock MR. Jason Koumas MC. Zheng Zhi MC. Matt Oakley ML. Andrew Surman ST. Matty Fryatt ST. Stevie Howard Subs. David Martin Patrick Kisnorbo Tom Cleverly Marcus Tudgay Jermaine Beckford If this team actually happens for real, never mind League 1 champions we can gatecrash The Championship....
CosbehFox Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 As much as we need strengthing, I don't want to see the double figures rolling in the Summer. We need to build rather attempting some bandit run to promotion.

I like some of the names mentioned above- Surman, Zheng Zhi are good players and are realistic signings if they get relegated. I cannot see Beckford at Leicester (bad attitude) and Jason Koumas, in my opinion wont drop. Tudgay has impressed me and David Marshall is a decent keeper, but id rather have David Martin between the sticks.

Joe. Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 If anybody thinks Dyer will succeed in the Championship then they are very deluded.

Fox You Forest Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Also, try & buy Gilbert.Hobbs & Cleverley on year long loan deals again, maybe? Knowitall said in another thread that Hobbs could be coming permanent. Doesn't seem like two minutes ago, it's really strange. It has flew by.

Fox92 Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 If anybody thinks Dyer will succeed in the Championship they they are very deluded. Agreed, I think that's why he never succeeded at the level with his previous clubs West Brom, Coventry etc.
JoeyB Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 GKHenderson - let go, contract is nearing its end at his age he won't improve so get someone younger Cisak - keep, loan out Logan - fook off Petney - keep, loan out Defence Kisnorbo - he's off Mattock - keep unless we get an offer of £2.5m+ Tunchev - keep and make captain Powell - keep, player-coach (or just as coach) Edworthy - release Berner - keep Morrison - keep O'Neill - keep, loan out Cox - keep, loan out Rowe-Turner - fook off Midfield Oakley - keep A. King - keep Dyer - keep Gradel - keep Clemence - if he's able to, keep Wesolowski - sell Adams - keep Porter - sell Forwards Fryatt - keep Howard - keep Dickov - fook off Chambers - keep and actually play him Campbell - fook off Hayles - release C. King - keep, loan out Verma - I have no idea Sappleton - fook off Loanees Gilbert - buy Hobbs - buy if pos another loan if not Martin - sign if free as back up Cleverley - worth another season loan, buy if price is reasonable why would we sell for 2.5m when we rejected an offer of around 3.5m for him last summer?
dandannieldanok Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 why would we sell for 2.5m when we rejected an offer of around 3.5m for him last summer? Because perhaps the club have realised after this season he's not as good as they thought he was. I'd personally take anything upwards of £1m, too many wingers have made a fool of him this season.
Jimmy Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 why would we sell for 2.5m when we rejected an offer of around 3.5m for him last summer? haven't you heard, there's a recession on ...
JoeyB Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 haven't you heard, there's a recession on ... So does that mean Milan would accept 80m for Kaka then? I know its not the same just a point, although he has been average this season why would we still sell one of our best prospects for less than what we got offered last summer?
Jimmy Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 So does that mean Milan would accept 80m for Kaka then?I know its not the same just a point, although he has been average this season why would we still sell one of our best prospects for less than what we got offered last summer? because we posted a huge loss this year financially, he was out injured for a few months and wasn't missed, we have a ready made replacement in Bruno Berner, who's probably being paid more too, so around £2.5M + add ons would go very nicely and save Mandaric from dipping into his own pocket again for transfer funds next summer (or at least not have to dip in as much) as you said he's been average, the longer he performs averagely the lower the fee we can get is, Prem clubs will look and say "he ain't doing much at that level so why pay that much for him"
Daggers Posted 16 March 2009 Posted 16 March 2009 Who's going to take Clemence? He won't be gone. No one. But do you think he's going to be anymore than a bit-part player at best next season? Maybe he can come back from this injury to a decent level of fitness, you'd know better than me on that score, but I'm not convinced. I'd not be surprised to see an additional injury keeping him out of contention so that the insurance policy continues to pick up his tab if he doesn't agree a process for retirement first.
