unreachable Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 Just got my ticket - don't know how many are left
Fosse Boy Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 Get a store of foreign lager in the back of the car and you'll cope damn fine I'll be fine then.
Scow Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 Can't believe there's still tickets left, when you consider the low allocation. Southend will NOT be like this. And to think we had such a slim chance of getting them! I'm not complaining though.
Corky Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 Can't believe there's still tickets left, when you consider the low allocation. Southend will NOT be like this. Hopefully they'll see it's not that close to Leicester, like Hereford, and knock it on the head
Rich Fox Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 The Imperial on Widemarsh street is by far the best pub in Hereford to watch the early premier league game(Liverpool v Blackburn) by the way. 5 minute walk to the ground. There's a few Hereford lads use it but most of them are good natured as long as you don't act the twat. I was in there the day before we got relegated and said to some guy well I hope I don't have to be in here next season Me and my big mouth. JDs along the road has sky too but is full of shitheads or was when I was last in there. I know a few more so if these don't take your fancy let me know what you're looking for. Wethers is just down the road and opposite the station by the way. 2 minute walk. Was thinking of going in the Barrells and the victory. Were looking for a traditional pub that serves good beer, not too bothered about sky but could do with one with a car park to leave the car while game is on or is there parking near these 2 pubs. Any ideas. Thanks.
Ultra Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 You now have your answer Ultra. I certainly do... It's a shocking performance by all those supposedly diehard, super-loyal ST holders.
lcfcadam Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 How the fook has this not sold out yet??!! I know, I can't believe it either. Makes a bit of a fool out of us who were outside the Walkers at 8AM sharp on Wednesday morning... Annoying as well because they'll probably be out in force for Southend, and some of us who made absolutely sure of getting a Hereford ticket will end up missing out in favour of someone who just couldn't be bothered to go because it's unlikely we'll be celebrating a promotion party.

I usually park in the greyfriars carpark which is very reasonable There's a real ale pub across the road from the hotel I've booked called the Queens Arms I think which is pretty good but not my type of thing tbh. The Lichfield and The Horse and Groom are also pretty traditional. Just keep away from the ones opposite the tudor type house in the centre of town unless you like BOGOF Wkd's you can't miss em-although opposite them next to a Will Hill is another trad pub
act smiley Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 Last time I was in hereford the parking was all multistory and the onstreet was just By. the cinema, was I missing it ?
Head Honcho Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 Last time I was in hereford the parking was all multistory and the onstreet was just By. the cinema, was I missing it ? To be honest I'm sure parking at the ground would be no problem at all but the pub next to it and the ground (The Newmarket) had been closed down the last time I was there-I'll have to find out if it's re-opened. It has re-opened and looks a decent gaff tbh. This is possibly the nearest decent pub to the ground. http://www.hmpubguide.com/2008/08/old-mark...-very-nice.html No TV's though!

Fooking Welsh bigots.

Im away in my caravan and will miss the Carlisle game so im looking forward to hereford.

Il be @ the ticket office 8am sharp for Southend tickets next Wednesday don't worry I hate this bullshit attacking fellow Leicester fans though, they can choose to try and get tickets for whichever away games they want and go to as many or as few as they want. So you think your superior getting there at 8am for the Hereford game and that for some reason you and others there at that time deserve a Southend ticket more than any other Leicester fans. O deary me
Asha Posted 3 April 2009 Posted 3 April 2009 I'll also be there at stupid o'clock Weds. I would of been for this had I been able to, I think everyones suprised at how slow these are being bought. Really can't see it being in any way similar for Southend, queuing up early morning will definately be necessary.
Bert Posted 3 April 2009 Author Posted 3 April 2009 Southend will attract more day trippers too, seeing as far as I can remember, it's pretty much bang on the seafront, (The ground that is) and they'll want to make a day of it.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 I'll also be there at stupid o'clock Weds.I would of been for this had I been able to, I think everyones suprised at how slow these are being bought. Really can't see it being in any way similar for Southend, queuing up early morning will definately be necessary. See you there then! I'm thinkin 7am for Southend... and 6am for Crewe (if theres any crewe left). I know people rely on the e-mail system, but I have to have it, feel the physical object in my hands. I hate this bullshit attacking fellow Leicester fans though, they can choose to try and get tickets for whichever away games they want and go to as many or as few as they want.So you think your superior getting there at 8am for the Hereford game dunno.gif and that for some reason you and others there at that time deserve a Southend ticket more than any other Leicester fans. I agree with that. I got there at 8am for Hereford tickets, but I know more will want to go to Southend, for obvious reasons. It is my, and only my, responsibility to get to the ground ASAP in order to get these. I dont like the 'i go to more away games than you, therefore I am a more worthy fan' (not saying thats what you said adam, but sometimes I hear it, at the ground, and on the moan in etc... and sometimes even at away games) But anyway, onward and upward to Wednesday.... should be a loooooooooooooooooooooong, loooooooooooooooooong wait for those tickets... but when they are in your hand, it makes it all worth it
lcfcadam Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 I certainly wouldn't try and argue that I've been to more away games than anyone else - couldn't get to any during the first half of the season because of work! I'm not at all having a go at fans who can only make certain away games, in fact I totally agree with what Ian C and maddog are saying - I suppose it's just a tiny bit disappointing when a relatively small allocation at this stage of the season is still sitting unsold. And would you believe it, I'm not going to be in the country on Wednesday morning so very little chance of getting my Southend ticket... Just want to firmly establish that I also hate the 'I've been to more away games and so I'm better than you" stance.
leftsideoverhere Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 And would you believe it, I'm not going to be in the country on Wednesday morning so very little chance of getting my Southend ticket... Give your season ticket to someone else after the game today, and they can buy yours for Southend while they get theirs on Wednesday?
lcfcadam Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Give your season ticket to someone else after the game today, and they can buy yours for Southend while they get theirs on Wednesday? Yeah I just thought about that, and I've now managed to talk my wonderful mum into going down for me! What would we do without them?

O deary me I think people would probably have more sympathy with what you're saying if you didn't so endlessly brag every time you get a ticket for a "big" away game.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 We still haven't sold out? This is fucking embarassing.
Nath Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 Nope, not sold out. Just managed to raise enough funds for this one now..
act smiley Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 It would probably help if they actively admitted it was general sale now.
