leftsideoverhere Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 I've had the usual great service from the ticket office.I'm not even a member but got a call from them around 8.50 this morning asking for my details so hopefully the ticket is in the post WTF? Here's the email I received from the ticket office after I asked them whether the fact I'd just shelled out £400 on next season's season tickets might get me treated as P3 for the Hereford game... Dear Nick,Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, you will be classed as general sale this season for away tickets. We have duty to look after our current season ticket holders in the first instance, however if we have any left after today's sales we will do our best help you get tickets for this match. Please accept our apologies for not being more helpful on this occasion and we thank you for your continued support. Kind Regards So how come you get tickets while being "not even a member", while I get the brush off?

So how come you get tickets while being "not even a member", while I get the brush off? Don't ask me! Maybe they didn't check if I was a member. I didn't do it on purpose I honestly thought it was ok to email them and ask for a phone call in the morning.
Fosse Boy Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Whats actually wrong with people wanting to sit? I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it. I would have thought that at least the novelty of being able to stand on a terrace would have far outweighed the desire of Leicester fans to sit down for this particular game though.

The suggests otherwise. Not everyone wants to/can stand for a number of reasons but it seems that isn't acceptable in some corners.
Fosse Boy Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 The suggests otherwise. Not everyone wants to/can stand for a number of reasons but it seems that isn't acceptable in some corners. I recognise that totally. If I took my Grandad to a Leicester game nowadays of course I wouldn't expect him (or anyone of his age) to have to stand. I also know that people may choose to sit down, not something that appeals to me at my age but everyone should have the right to choose. It just seemed to me, given the context, that some of the people in the ticket office earlier were being a bit over the top with a wish to sit at an away game when they knew full well about the type of ground that we'll be playing at.
Maybes Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Where's the 4,100 that went to Peterborough or the 4,300 that went to MK Dons? I would've thought this game would sell out pretty sharpish considering the pretty low allocation. Shocking really isn't it.
Alexikokopops Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 I have, why do you ask? Because Fez would be joining Holly, her dad and I in her dad's car if you didn't get a ticket.
BoneDog Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 I'm in the frickin Hereford end. Wounded Have we got more than 1,400 tickets yet or is it staying at that?
BoneDog Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Looking forward to this one a lot. Easy on the train and terracing! If you get a return from Leicester to Birmingham, and then a return from Birmingham to Hereford, with a young persons railcard it works out at £14.50. £14.50 return! It's costin me £32.00 one way
BoneDog Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 We should get 2000. Thats how many Leeds took I don't think Leeds sold all their 2000 allocation, which is crap if true

SamL Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 To put an end to the debate as to how many fans Leeds took, the answer is 1903 according to their Official Website.
Guest Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 It just seemed to me, given the context, that some of the people in the ticket office earlier were being a bit over the top with a wish to sit at an away game when they knew full well about the type of ground that we'll be playing at. This is the problem; some people don't realise what type of ground it is.
BoneDog Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 My Mrs sits at every match but she still enjoys herself I would love to stand when the chance arises but have to keep my eye on her and play goalie if the ball happens to get blasted her way. And I'm not allowed to go on me own anymore incase I get into trouble!
Corky Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 I'd have thought that terracing, plus a slight chance of winning promotion (and we know some are doing the 92 as well, unless they went to Hereford three or ten years ago) would've meant this one would've gone early on Wednesday. It's not that much different from Northampton, and that allocation went in two days

I was thinkin we'd probably sell 2 and half easy. It's a bit of a shocker really
Katy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Because Fez would be joining Holly, her dad and I in her dad's car if you didn't get a ticket. Haha no one tells me anything, he knows I had a contingency plan if I couldn't get a ticket.
Head Honcho Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Come on guys let's be fair. There are a few factors why this game may not be as tempting as the others mentioned. We play Leeds two days later and some can maybe only afford that game. It's also Easter and some may have made other plans months ago and as you've said earlier we've had good turnouts in most of our away games recently and maybe Hereford was just one away game too many. The mistaken belief that Hereford is almost in Devon or Cornwall may also have some thing to do with it
Alexikokopops Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 My ticket arrived yesterday. Cargill terrace. Hooray

And as for the Leeds match, we are talking about STH's here, so presumably they've already got their tickets for that one. Members and General Sale could well snap up the remaining tickets for this one. All we're saying is that if we can find 4100 for Peterborough and 4300 for Dons then we should comfortably find 1400 for Hereford.

I love the ticket office. I emailed them last night and they phoned me back this morning. Paid. Will pick up on saturday. Blackfriars Terrace. Three quid for Greg. Big day out. Loving it. So, at the third attempt I'm determined to meet some of you on this trip. Train? Pub?

maddog Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Fancied this one but looks like not going now Will be after Southend and Crewe tickets though 7.30am at the ticket office next Wednesday for me
