It would probably help if they actively admitted it was general sale now.

I think admitted is the wrong word, for a start. Plus there is nothing different with the selling arrangements with this game compared to any other this season, or for the last god knows how long.

Im amazed and fully expected this to sell out by Wednesday night! Suppose it would have done if we had won at Peterboro. Oh well should be a good atmosphere at least now!

Right, I couldn't manage to get standing tickets so I have 2 seating tickets (adult). If anybody wants to swap these for standing I'd be very happy. PM me if this is possible.

Standing sold out? Can't you just swap at TO.

You'll easily be able to get in the terrace Joe, so fear not.

In some respects, I'm strangely pleased we bottled it yesterday 'cos some of the 'trippers' who'll be at Sarfend will have been put off going as we didn't win. Score.

Yeah we'll get in some way.

If I remember correctly, the terrace on the side stand, and the seating on the side stand, the "concourse" kind of goes into one, so you can just casually ease your way into the terrace thatta way.

We still have to pay more (£3/£4) though, bit silly really.

No ideas why I couldn't get standing then... Gay.

Just picked up 3 standing tickets from the Ticket Office. (Wasn't sure if we were able to go till today, still haven't told the wife!:sweating: )

I forgot to ask how many tickets were left, but there were quite a few left when mine were ripped from the pile.

Nice to see all the "comitted" fans turning out again, cant believe there are any tickets left this late! what happened to the 4.5K that went to Pboro!

Oh well, all the more room for us!

Frustation may well boil over in my brain once again watching Leicester play.

This feeling combined with the nerves may lead me in becoming a heathen bellowing out Leicester songs for sustained periods on the hope that the message gets through to the players.

Come quick Friday.

I think the club have misjudged this badly. They made a press statement saying special arrangements would be in place, then withheld ticketing arrangements before finally making an announcement which referred only to priority 1 and 2 being the usual days (Monday, Tuesday) and then saying that p3 would be first come, first served on weds IF any tickets were left - suggesting they expected all or almost all to go to p1 and p2.

That would make sense on the numbers as there about 1300 of them, and 1420 tickets. However, for whatever reason they didn't all go, and hardly any p3 turned up to buy tickets. Members (and non-members) had presumably by then made other plans on the basis of the club effectively telling them they had no chance of getting tickets.

There has still been no announcement about there being tickets left so hopefully that means the club are confident of the last few selling out. And at least this way they are going to people who are willing to make a little effort to research that tickets are still available.

I wonder now what the club will do about announcing ticket arrangements for the remaining two games. Back to normal?

To be fair, this is the normal arrangement.

You're missing my point, Lisa, which is that by making an announcement which only refers to the first three days (and the third day being posed as "if any tickets remain..." The club effectively tells members and general sale people not to bother.

The difference isn't in the selling arrangements but in the announcement. They've done it again with Southend - not even mentioned arrangements for members or general sale. And, given that (a) there are 700 more tickets and (b) Easter is getting in the way there's even more risk of Southend tickets not selling out.

No they don't? If members and general sale people wish to get a ticket for this game, surely an e-mail, a phone-call or a trip to the t/o would solve their ticket queries? I mean, if these people had any common sense, they could easily find out for themselves whether or not there are tickets left if they were that concerned.

I'm not missing any point. It's always been "if any remain" which is why people have missed out on games. It doesn't suggest to me "don't bother getting a ticket if you have no priority or membership". It says to me that demand is going to be high, and I'd best get my skates on if I want a ticket. This was always going to be the case, and has been known and speculated about on here long before the club decided to look into selling arrangements.

I don't really see what the fuss is. To be honest, I don't care if some daytripper misses out because they didn't know that there were tickets left.

This is the thing, common sense has long since left the building.

The likelihood is that the match (Southend) will sell out on the Wednesday, proably sometime in the afternoon. If it doesn't (and there is a chance) then peoplen should still get in contact with the T/O, make their order a day earlier and then they'll have a great chance should it reach Thursday or Friday.

There isn't really a difference in the selling arrangements, it always been like this. It's always been first come, first served for P3's and beyond.
