Guest Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Lots of players might not particularly want to play for someone at a particular time in their careers. But that doesn't mean they wouldn't give of their best. I'd rather have people who can give us what we need than people who can't and we do some pace. When I look at the standards set by some of our alternative strikers this season I'd hardly be surprised at DJ getting pissed off considering how few opportunities he's had here. True story - my long term future is not with the company I am working for, but I gave it my all because I enjoyed working there, and felt appreciated. My new line manager has made it clear in the last couple of weeks that his view of the department doesn't include me in the short term either. I suddenly feel very demotivated and not inclined to give it 100%. Why should footballers be any different?
Guest Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Why does that make it clever. With our small amount of options available up top - to put dj on loan and not put in a clause to recall him is pretty daftNP has never said he was never going to figure at the club again has he? Sometimes what is not said tells as much, if not more, than what is said.

In all honesty Hayles looked better in 10 minutes on Saturday than I think I've ever seen DJ play.
Daggers Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 I think we should play Norbo in midfield. And by that I mean I don't think we should.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Play Kissa up front more like it! Then revert him to midfield, the wing and finally in goal!
Father Ted Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 If it was last year then I wouldn't have said no to Mcauley upfront but this year nobody.

Must say I have to agree, I'm glad DJ is scoring goals but because it means we could prob. get rid of him. Think he's had his time here and time for us to move on, would far rather we started looking to give Chambers chances.
soley118 Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Is it such a crazy idea but to play one of the centre backs up top on Saturday with Howard suspended ala Walshy???When he has been missing in the past the team has been a shadow of its former self and we still hit the ball long when there is no one to win the headers Just an idea but something I wouldnt mind seeing tbh Your thoughts? Maybe a job for kizza

Kilworthfox Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Wayne Brown CB, ST Everyone on here is so short sighted to the assets we have within the club. Stowelly is the man to be the beanpole striker that matty will thrive upon.
Scow Posted 20 March 2009 Posted 20 March 2009 Wayne Brown CB, ST He'll win every header that comes in to the box - and that includes crosses along the ground.
