crafty fox Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 i think the club should do a "newcastle" and issue the fans with a blue and white scarf to commemerate our 125 year anniversary. about 28'000 should do the trick and hand them out last game this year or first game next year.
JoeyB Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Scarfs for half the ground. Flags for the other half. All good.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Not an idea I personally like tbh, doesn't really enhance the atmosphere or anything imo.
1884 Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 When I went to Chelsea V Bordeaux in the Champions league earlier this season, every seat had a blue and white scarf on. I think Chelsea do this for the first 3 group games, might even be every home Champions League game.
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 We had our flags didn't we? I prefer the "Martin Must Stay" or "Pierpoint Out" banners. We haven't had cause for a good ol' banner protest for a few years now...
AyewJoking Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 How bout £125 megastore vouchers for all season ticket holders.
Rocket-Ron Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 How about 125 exciting benefits on a monthly basis! Have not used 1 of them yet
Ultra Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 We had our flags didn't we?I prefer the "Martin Must Stay" or "Pierpoint Out" banners. We haven't had cause for a good ol' banner protest for a few years now... Would that be because we've been so spoilt by success during that time? Or maybe because our club really respects and values us?
Raj Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Would that be because we've been so spoilt by success during that time?Or maybe because our club really respects and values us? STOP IT YOU!!!!
Kilworthfox Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 scarfsScarves Don't forget the horns, freehorn for evey child at their 1st match, should set the tone for LCFC's new fan revolution

Joe. Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 The scarves would probably look good for a game, but not everybody's going to bring them back regularly.
Guest Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 The scarves would probably look good for a game, but not everybody's going to bring them back regularly. They would if they were lucky scarves.
Kilworthfox Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 They would if they were lucky scarves. In your opinion what are the odds that the cash strapped club will buy new scarves for their loyal mugs supporters?
Guest Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 In your opinion what are the odds that the cash strapped club will buy new scarves for their loyal mugs supporters? If I was a bookie, and I am not, I would be laughing to myself as I took the punters' money off them.

Kilworthfox Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Wop your wad on the counter! Sound like a woman who has done this sort of thing before
Guest Posted 19 March 2009 Posted 19 March 2009 Sound like a woman who has done this sort of thing before I love a bit of cold, hard cash, me.

Good suggestion IMO. But I would suggest that the turnstile operators hand a voucher or the scarf to each person through the turnstile. That way the club only issue as many as the people attending, instead of 1 x per seat. Also, anyone that doesn't want a scarf can refuse it at the turnstile. Come on LCFC give the supporters summat for nowt !!!

You raise a good point, and adding further to it, I saw what our fans were like with free crisps; a free scarf would lead to a greed frenzy never seen before!! Those of us who prefer the pre-match atmosphere of the pub may find ourselves cheated of said scarf.
