Guest Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 we should keep him as a squad player if he takes a 30% wage cutotherwise he can fook off. too injury prone and couldn't pass water Behave!! There's no way he'd take a massive pay cut if he decides to stay. Imagine our defence with Tunch, Kis, Hobbs and Morrison fighting it out for the centre pairing next season.... quality!

Imagine our defence with Tunch, Kis, Hobbs and Morrison fighting it out for the centre pairing next season.... quality! of course there isn't - it's not as if i said it was likely. i just don't think he's a very good player really - it sounds stupid to say that given we had the best defensive record in the league last year, but if you look at what he does with the ball at his feet, i think he seriously hampers the team. quite frankly he hasn't got a clue when it comes to distribution or recycling possession. it's hoofball or nothing with him, and he's not very quick either. i wouldn't mind having him in as a squad player, but if we seriously want to kick on next season and aim to finish outside the bottom 8 or so, we'd be better off imo not bothering with him. strength going forward depends so much on the mentality of the centre-backs, and with him in the side the midfield just wouldn't get the chance to touch the ball

Even when we get a good draw, some fans will still say that the wrong pairing was chosen.

lildave3 Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Our defence would be very, very strong in the Championship if he chooses to stay. Just seen your sig!
DB11 Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009  Just seen your sig! The ;eague on!e?? I don't get that
Corky Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 The ;eague on!e?? I don't get that I think you missed where it stemmed from
lildave3 Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 The ;eague on!e?? I don't get that I think you missed where it stemmed from Find him the quote Corky, I haven't got the energy.
Lillehamring Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Don't think he did.And I'm sure NP will have words with him about his distribution. Overall he is a good defender though. Once Tunchev comes back, it will be a nice selection headache for Pearson because Morrison and Brown will be here, plus Hobbs might still be around. I'm sure bert and/or knowitall quoted him as saying something along the lines of "i wouldn't piss on leicester if they were on fire"
Dr The Singh Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 I'm sure bert and/or knowitall quoted him as saying something along the lines of "i wouldn't piss on leicester if they were on fire" Maybe he has limitd options and city is the best offer he would recieve!! He's no better or worse then Hobbs, for the right sal;ary maybe a good option!!
