Joe. Posted 11 April 2009 Posted 11 April 2009 Relief more than anything. The first half performance was pretty poor, and I was getting worried as the second dragged on. Despite the pressure we weren't really looking like scoring. Somehow two goals later and all is well. That second goal was, as mentioned before, painfully slo-motion-esque, but god did it feel good when it finally hit the back of the net. Lloyd's celebration shows how much it means to everyone. The third was a joy to watch too, fine work from Gradel before Steve knocked in for the casual finish. We needed that win to take a lot of pressure off, and it's certainly given me more confidence that we'll go up without too many troubles now. A win on Monday would all but confirm it. Bring it on.
CTFC_FOX Posted 11 April 2009 Posted 11 April 2009 Would just like to take the time to thx all you LCFC fans for making me welcome today Now i turned up at peterborough yesterday to hear the the legend that is JOBBER was there to cheer cheltenham on i couldnt wait to meet him. Hes a great guy he was telling me storys of how you have started singing chelt songs at LCFC and how you want to arrange a pre season freindly with us (MAKE IT HAPPEN) We had a great time there and then he points out that there were more LCFC fans there. I cant thx you enough for turning up You all no the story we drew 1-1 with peterborough and did you a favor Now before i left i told jobber he would be seeing me at a LCFC match in the future and he said he couldnt wait to c me. Anyway i got home and went on the facebook page a chelt fan set up for LCFC fans and Chelt fans. I couldnt belive my eyes wen i got on there a lad was saying he had a spare ticket for today match so i had to snap it up. I contacted him and he said he would come down to chelt then we would go watch it. I actully couldnt sleep last nyt was like a little kid in a candy shop I get the text this morning to say im on my way so i ran to my draw and put my chelt shirt on cus of the storys jobber had told me how you love chelt:) We got to hereford and went straight in the pub. Now hereford being are local rivals i was abit worried bout taking off my jacket cus i was wearing a chelt shirt . Couple of drinks in had loads of LCFC fans telling me to take it off so i did(Big cheer as i took it off) Had a great laugh in the pub about how crap chelt are lmao:) Got to ground and just thort im hear for the same reason you are to cheer the Champions Couple of people gave me funny looks and some comments until this LCFC fan stuck up for me explaining some LCFC fans went to brough and i was returning the favor I was over welmed by people shaking my hand and saying "Fair play lad" Had a brilliant day today makes a change going away and watching a team win LMAO So thank you LCFC for welcoming me and actully letting me see a win haha This wont be the last your be seeing of me i will be there next season cheering you on Watch out CTFC_FOX will be about

Darkzzz_ Posted 11 April 2009 Posted 11 April 2009 Just got back home now. Very happy with the lads today, dug deep and delivered. Couldn't possibly ask for more. Pearson has been waiting for that fist pump at the end, we didn't get one, not even two, we got three!! It meant so much. Let's hope we can take this into the Leeds game on Monday. What a day out. I bloody loved it. I seen some of the FT'ers in the stand to the left of the goal. I was classed as the middle, then there was the right side were the Cheltenham fan was. Excellent banter as usual and I have never seen my missus go as wild as she did when we got the second goal, I loved that more than anything. The beer will be flowing in this house tonight as I look at the league table....

Wicked yep the chelts guy was awesome! Things like that is what football is all about! Shame the conga didnt really get going, but I think its probably more to do with how worried we all were! Top day, top result and top atmosphere, was it only me or did it seem that we could have got the same amount in again in the terracing, but at least it meant we could all go crazy running down to Dyer/Howard when they scored! Even Raj got carried away and nearly choked at one point! The ginger steward at half time trying to stop the smoking at the back of the stand was a twat! Anyone else see the two female coppers near the burger van in the carpark after the game, they can search me anytime they want!!! This afternoon more than made up for the damp squib that was Peterborough. Can someone please have a word with my Wife and explain that I have to go to Southend and she has no choice? Maybe I could drop her off at Lakeside on the way? What a day, rain on leaving Leicester, sunshine all afternoon, get back and its still raining!!!! Just hope the pitch at the WS has survived the "rugger" !
