Lichfieldfox. Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Who cares, we won. Lock the thread, cut out the foul language and grow up children.
Sly Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 This is silly!! The grass could be painted friggin red for all I care!! I go to watch Leicester .... not look at the grass. On the subject of the pitch though, it's in excellent shape and you've got acknowledge that the pitch staff do a great job, like someone said, you could hardly tella rugby game had been played on it.
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Someone makes a remark about the markation on the pitch and suddenly, the whole thread develops into a "Slag-O-Rama"...? Oi, we won today!!!
AmericanScott Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 I'm pretty pissed off that the goal was a header.
Spudulike Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 What the fuck is wrong with you? We've nearly guarenteed ourselves promotion and you're moaning about this? For a start, the Tigers only finished playing 8pm on Saturday night. The groundstaff were still at the ground gone 10pm Saturday night, all day yesterday, and in at 8am this morning turning the pitch round, and tbh you would never have guesssed that there had been a rugby game played there just a day and a half ago. If they'd not worked their socks off for the past day or so, we wouldn't have had game to watch today. If you had any clue, you'd know what time and effort the groundstaff actually put into our pitches, not only at the walkers, but at the training ground too. We've got one of the best pitches, if the the best pitch in the league. Sorry, Bert but you are missing the point here. If there hadn't been a rugby game played on the pitch two days before the biggest match of our season then we wouldn't have had any extra lines to consider. Poor decision by the club and even poorer decision to shift our last home match, our celebration match, to a Friday night. Today's epic win should not stifle debate on this subject.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 They could have at least used a shade of green a little more like grass. Amateurs.PITCH PEOPLE OUT. you think the groundsmen should go despite their great names (head groundsman = Ed Mowe) besides with they way rugby is played and the fact that the game was an evening kick-off on saturday they did well to get the surface to a playable condition
