Alexikokopops Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 i take it that we dint lift it yesterday then? Yeah, no lifting yesterday. Just lots of celebrations
ProudShrimper Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Congratulations to all of you on here... I remember what it was like to win League 1 I'm only sorry I was unable to stick around to applaud your team and see some of the celebrations. I had to leave after your second goal for my familys safety... I'm not sure if you are aware but a number of your supporters really let you down yesterday - with scenes I have never ever witnessed at Roots Hall which have left an extremely sour taste in the mouth. See the link: http://www.shrimperzone.com/vb/showthread.php?t=50887 Innocent women and children were caught in these scenes and you will forgive me if these scenes have tainted my view of your club. Congratulations to all you real fans - and best of luck in the Championship.

Sorry to hear that mate, I wasn't there yesterday so I can't comment on what happened but I'm sure it wouldn't be anyone off here.
ProudShrimper Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Sorry to hear that mate, I wasn't there yesterday so I can't comment on what happened but I'm sure it wouldn't be anyone off here. Thanks mate - genuinely wish you the best a of luck for next season. Hopefully it was just a one off with the emotion of the day. You have a great team, a great manager and for the most part great support! Enjoyed having you in League 1 even if it was for only one season............
Darkzzz_ Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Where'd you get the scarf, I want one! It was the 2003 promotion scarf. I thought it was very appropriate for yesterday.
diggler Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I've learned a few things reading that Southend forum: - We didn't sell out our allocation - We only got promoted; we're not champions yet - Leicester's a shit hole (yes, this is Southend we're talking about) - When they all thought it was Leicester fans who ran into the West Stand it was a disgrace....when they realised it was their fans beating up 3 Leicester fans, it's OK - They're really upset that 5 people got on the pitch for 5 seconds - No ground has ever had shirt wearing away fans in their executive boxes before - They weren't expecting trouble, despite 2.5k Leicester fans going to a seaside town, on one of the hottest days of the year so far, where a win would mean we would be crowned champions I'm not condoning any form of 'trouble', but yesterday was tame at best

I am sorry to hear what happened and it's a shame some mindless idiots give our club a bad name. The majority were very well behaved and we certainly enjoyed our visit to our Roots Hall, obviously. I wish you all the best for next season and with your new ground, hope you can gain promotion in the near future.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 You had to leave for safety reasons ... That is bad !! What exactly happened ?
diggler Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 You had to leave for safety reasons ... That is bad !!What exactly happened ? 3 Leicester fans were (wrongly/stupidly) in the Southend end. When the Southend fans found out and started to kick them in, innocent children were caught up in it.
Nath Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 You had to leave for safety reasons ... That is bad !!What exactly happened ? They got worried about a little scuffle.
leftsideoverhere Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 3 Leicester fans were (wrongly/stupidly) in the Southend end. When the Southend fans found out and started to kick them in, innocent children were caught up in it. It did look pretty scary when the stewards were trying to hoist kids over the wall into the neutral zone. But with the best will in the world, mate, that was hardly the Leicester fans fault, is it? I know they were probably a bit silly to celebrate the second goal in that part of the ground, but it was southend fans kicking them that put your family at risk, no? The police weren't in the corner of the west stand because of the behaviour of the city fans.
leicesterseddon Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 just had a butchers at the link to their forum : 'Leicester did NOT sell out their allocation' http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1626050,00.html why why else have people been trying to get a mate's/family member's priority to get tickets? why were there obviously loads of leicester supporters in the home ends? honestly, talk about self-perpetuating essex stereotypes....
Daggers Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 http://www.shrimperzone.com/vb/showthread.php?t=50887 Morons. The police were video taping and photographing your "fans" for a reason. They started it. If your club was stupid enough to allow away supporters to purchase boxes and walk into home sections wearing shirts and scarves then your support should either take it up with those responsible or shut up. Acting like a cross between Millwall-lite and Guinness book of records attempt for the most toys thrown from pram just paints you as a bunch of pathetic supporters. And a bunch of sore losers to boot.
Koke Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Pretty sure thats Alex in the middle! I see Alex is continuing his media whoring career. I'm glad this superstar gave me a hug afterwards, which was long overdue.

Koke Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I loved his hamster facepaint. I loved your silky sexy hair. I'm disappointed, Daggers.
Daggers Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 I loved your silky sexy hair. I'm disappointed, Daggers. I felt Milllllllllllll-hunk was more appropriate for a weekend in London-on-Sea
