Ozwin Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 I want to get a season ticket next season, sick of feeling like an armchair fan listening on the radio and going to a handful of games a season. However there's no way I'm going to afford one by April the 30th (the apparent cut off date for current prices) so I was wondering how much will the prices go up by after this date? The cheapest ticket is £217 for me in the kop atm, which seems alright tbf, I don't want to be paying much more if I can help it. I was also wondering if there's like a payment plan/direct debit type thing for them? Like I get charged monthly a certain amount so it's easier to pay for? Probably not but it'd be helpful. Thanks a lot for any help.

Try the website or ringing the ticket office... think they go up again at the end of the month... you can pay over up to 12 months by direct debit but they charge an extra £4 per monthl payment
Ozwin Posted 25 April 2009 Author Posted 25 April 2009 £4 extra a month, so that's £22 a month. That'd be fine. I can pay for like over half of it straight up, it's just the rest. I suppose I could sort that out with them at the office. Cheers.
samjohnson Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Yes, you could always go for the Direct Debit option, but im sure you could pay lump sums when you can...
Ozwin Posted 25 April 2009 Author Posted 25 April 2009 Just wondering if they allowed you to pay lump sums whenever you felt like it? Like for instance I wanted to pay £50 one day, would they let me do it or am I strictly told to pay monthly at the set amount? If that's a bit vague let me know. Cheers.

Monthly, set amount, was the way I did it two season's back.
Ozwin Posted 25 April 2009 Author Posted 25 April 2009 Was that through choice? Or did you try and pay off some of it and got turned away?
Matt Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Most direct debits are monthly payments of a certain amount, I've never known of a direct debit that you can pay what you want when you want, I've not had that many direct debits though.
Bert Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Yeah, they set the dates when the money is taken out of your account, but you can choose how many months you want to pay it over.
Ozwin Posted 25 April 2009 Author Posted 25 April 2009 Right, so when I go in and set it all up they'll divide the total price by 12 months and charge me that each month? Or can I pay £150 straight up there and then and the remainder will be divided up? I don't want to be paying like £40 a month (Me and my bro are getting one and I'll pay for it on my card)

For direct debit, there's also a £4 admin charge per month. I'm not sure if you can pay £150, then go and choose when to pay your next installment.
Ozwin Posted 25 April 2009 Author Posted 25 April 2009 Hmmm, I'm not really picking my next installment, I'm just making the overall amount to pay less than before. Surely they'd just take £150 off the total amount and then split the ramaining amount over 10 months or something? Better for both parties really.

I put £200 down and am paying the remainder off in 2 installments. So, yes you can put what you like down as long as its at least £50.
Ozwin Posted 8 May 2009 Author Posted 8 May 2009 No clue, I doubt it's a landmark figure just yet or they'd be banging on about it. Best place in the kop to sit? I havn't bought the tickets yet, worked out I'd be paying £80 extra if I did it with Direct Debit, I might as well just save it up and buy the tickets in June sometime instead.

I would try the middle towards the back (assuming there are still seats available). How did you work out an additional £80 by using DD? I thought 12 months was maximum (12 x £4 fee = £48)
Munzie Posted 8 May 2009 Posted 8 May 2009 I'll be buying 2 tickets on my card. It might work out lees expensive to put down a larger deposit and have less DD's (subject to funds permitting). I did mine and my son's over a 6 month period by paying more upfront.
Ozwin Posted 8 May 2009 Author Posted 8 May 2009 Yeah that might be what I'll do. I'm trying to get as much as I can down and then if I need to I'll pay the rest off on DD. I'd rather not have it lingering if you get me, 12 months of having £30 taken away is a bit of a bummer. When you said 'assuming there's seats available' you saying that the kop sells their tickets pretty quickly then? Because whenever I go to games and look at the kop section (on the website booking thing) there's always seats available.

I decided that £50 max over 6 months was enough and worked back how much I needed to put down as a deposit in order to stick to these figures. Good luck! I would imagine that the middle of the Kop, towards the back is fairly popular with STH's. If you can get to the stadium, you can always 'try before you buy'. They will allow you into the satdium and sit on the available seats before committing.
Maybes Posted 8 May 2009 Posted 8 May 2009 You can change your season ticket seats if you dont like them.
john_lcfc Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Someone email them asking how many we've sold. I imagine we will sell about another 1,000 on top of the current figure when people start missing football come July/August time.

leicesterseddon Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Why don't you email them? Exactly what I was thinking... <_< No point really anyway; we'll have around the same number as this season just finished - 95 % renewal, plus a few others... If we'd sold anything like a significant number, the club wouldn't be able to shut up about it. Their silence is deafening, as the saying goes...
