lilsmig Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 nice ground for a conference team... better than some of the grounds this season
Babylon Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 good old nige. doesnt waste time does he!he'll be on his holidays in june on a sunbed drawing up some new set piece tactics or something haha Pre season sorted, 2 players bought.... and we've not even finished the season yet!!! Wonder if he finds time to dig up the training ground and plant some blue and white flowers... oh hang on, Martin did that for us.
syston_fox Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Get in - quality friendly that one. Love pre-season when we can get to some of these more random grounds.
knowitall Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 This game was arranged last season. It is to replace the game that was called off because of the rain.
syston_fox Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 This game was arranged last season. It is to replace the game that was called off because of the rain. Any other games you can confirm for us apart from this one, Chesterfield and Lough?
Guest Bilo Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Tempted by this one. Easy to get to and a decent ground I haven't been to. Keen.
davieG Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 This game was arranged last season. It is to replace the game that was called off because of the rain. Shame we didin't find that out until we got there
Lillehamring Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 pøh! what happened to the days of pre-season tours to scandinavia
Thracian Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 http://www.mansfieldtown.premiumtv.co.uk/p...1641892,00.html Last year's non event was not something I wanted reminding of. Typically lax communication and not the sort of place you want to turn up in of an evening with nothing to do.
Guest Bilo Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Field Mill Looks a decent ground. Certainly nicer than some of those we've seen this season. I'm liking the sound of the Spoons pub in particular.
Joe. Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Well this one's off seeing as I'm on holiday. Need to get to some more pre-seasons in this time after my last poor showing.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Im there! local(ish) game, half decent ground, should be a laugh on a tuesday night!
Alexikokopops Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Give me some games south of Leicester Nige! It doesn't have to be far south, just a bit closer than three hours drive away
Pete_foxes Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Nice little starter to set the ball rolling I think
Muz Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Lovely little ground and on my doorstep! Got a soft spot for the Stags and used to watch them when I could'nt get City games. Even went to the league 2 play-off final with them! Happy Days!
Bert Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 I'm looking forward to this pre-season, especially if last pre-season is anything to go by. Generally they're at shit grounds, with hardly any stewards, so you can stand without hassle and last season, beers were drank on the terraces! Plus, If you lose it doesn't really matter, as it's only a firendly, and you get to see how the team are coming along, and it cures boredem!
iancognito Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Wow, they've improved Field Mill massively since I last saw it. Brighton would kill for a ground like that! I hope there's a pre-season game against a Quorn or a Hinckley sized team again just to keep the garden shed tour alive.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 Would be my first pre-season away game Will be going it alone, National Express is a pretty decent price, and the bus station is only a mile away from the ground... last bus leaves at 22:30, plenty of time to get to the station. Will this be a 'pay on the gate' game?
