our six signings... I cant help feeling a little concerned

Ok.. so as we all know, supposedly we will have six new players joining us for the next season in the Championship. If this is to be the case & going on the idea that the loan players that we have signed permanently count as two of them in Brown and Hobbs (two very good signings might I add) is four more enough for survival? considering we currently do not have a recognised right back at the club, Edworthy is not viable option for the championship, if we were to sign Gilbert I would be satisfied with that, that then takes up 3, I have no doubts that defensivly we will be sound but I get a feeling we will be lacking in the attacking department, a slight hint of our championship season, statisticly we had one of the best defenses in the league yet one of the worst attacks as we scored a low amount of goals......... would love to hear your guys/girls thoughts on it

It's already been said that it's 6 to come on top of Hobbs and Brown I think

With still a game to go this season, I think it's a bit early to lose one's head already.

Surely as a Leicester fan, there's never a bad time to go off the deep end :P

I hope you are right, but I had not seen that quote come from the club.

Pete is correct IMO as anyone who believed that the current squad plus 4 championship players would be deluded to think we could compete next season. The few players we have who are up to the job are Tunchev, Hobbs, Gradel, and possibly Brown, Oakley, Howard, and Fryatt. This list is not too long.

City chairman Milan Mandaric has indicated up to six new players could be signed before next season, but said: "This will be in addition to Hobbs and Brown, who we are delighted to have joining us. They have both done very well for us this season and I am sure they will do so again in the Championship."

Lets have this conversation in August.

I'd agree with you there, we seem to have a hardcore of fans who can only look on the dark side of anything, speculating on what we'll be like next season when we still have this one to finish off and have only a few clues about who will be signed, loaned etc is fairly unproductive.

our youth team /development squad seem to be making even the prem teams sit up and take notice at the mom. you couldn't discount at least one making a breakthrough next year so together with the commitment given by MM I am sure we will be fine for assembling a decent squad

If Nigel left and Martin Allen or Ian Holloway returned, I might be inclined to panic also. As it is Pearson's record of identifying a problem and sorting it is not far off 100%.

Whether he has the resources to correct them well enough is another matter. I have no doubt though we will have enough players in the positions need come the start of the season. Certainly not 8 right backs.

Err, agreed. Now. Hardcore? Hardly. Where were they when we were good?

King? Dyer?

Both have had better seasons than Gradel.

Should read what I'm replying to properly.

I assure you I am not looking on the dark side, I was merely highlighting the point and hoping to gain everybodies feeback, that was gained to some extent with the idea that it would be Hobbs and Brown + 6.

So you've learnt something that was openly reported and just about anyone with an interest already knew, maybe you should try doing some research before posting

jesus mate, I was unaware we needed to take this forum as seriously as you appear to wish to make it. :giggle::unsure:

I think the point was, if you'd have read around a bit, you'd have seen that there was already something about this, instead of creating a duplicate, cluttering up the forum.

In Nige I trust... he'll do what he sees needs to be done... and judging from his signings from this season, be they permanent or loanees, he's pretty good at organizing a team.

Haven't we signed anyone else yet? It's been a whole day without someone being bought.

Mad Dog Allen would be turning in his grave (if he were six feet under). He averaged two new players a day when he was appointed.

This is much ado about nothing.

Hobbs and Brown + 6 (2 RBs, RM, LM, 2 STs) - sorted.

Make them quality signings and we will be top half no problem.

What's the fuss about?

What about Goalkeeper(s)?
