Granno Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 True, but they have been VERY fortunate with injuries this season, so have been able to get away with using a small squad.Credit to Owen Coyle though. He's been the Championship manager of the season, whatever the result at Wembley may be. Agreed, to get a club like Burnley even sniffing the playoffs is an achievement, but to get them 1 step away from the Premier League is unbelievable.
C-man Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Disappointed that the final is Blunts vs Burnley 'cos I wanted to go to both clubs next season. Still, I can wait 12 months to go to Turf Moor
MC Prussian Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 True, but they have been VERY fortunate with injuries this season, so have been able to get away with using a small squad.Credit to Owen Coyle though. He's been the Championship manager of the season, whatever the result at Wembley may be. The fortunate lack of serious injury troubles might have played a part in it, but... From what I've seen so far, Coyle has established a terrific and quite relaxed team spirit at Burnley. No scandals, no uproar, deadwood sorted out, every single player is proud to part of that team, they work as a union, no really big names on the list (apart from Eagles maybe), some really good bargain buys last summer. I fancy them going up.
Ultra Posted 13 May 2009 Posted 13 May 2009 Playoff results tend to go against the ones in the regular season. Burnley did the double over the blunts, so may be a little nervous at Wembley.

Granno Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 I fancy Millwall to finish the job off tonight, hopefully.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 this is an ususual way of selling ticketshttp://www.offthepost.info/2009/05/millwal...-station-on-m1/ Seems like a joke to be honest! There is an interview with the with the Millwall supporters chairman here. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...all/8049676.stm
billyfox1 Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Not according to their OS Vouchers, which will be exchanged for tickets at the designated motorway service station* between 5pm and 6pm, are priced at an amended £21 adults, £14 seniors, £9 under 16s http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetai...1649919,00.html
billyfox1 Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Can teams go through on away goals? No We would just like to clarify that away goals do not count in the Play-Off matches. If Leeds United and Millwall are level on aggregate score at the end of 90 minutes at Elland Road (ie 1-1, 2-2, 3-3) then the game will go into extra time. If the aggregate score remains the same at the end of extra time, a penalty shoot-out would follow with the winner going through to Wembley. http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetai...1656816,00.html
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Anyone got a decent stream for this game? http://www.zomse.com/16.htm Says IE, but works equally well with Firefox.
Granno Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 http://www.zomse.com/16.htmSays IE, but works equally well with Firefox. Beautiful cheers.
Fosse Boy Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Looks like the whole ground is pretty much standing It does. Awesome. Shame that would never happen at Filbert Way.
MC Prussian Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Looks like the whole ground is pretty much standing Fans ejecting stewards - only in Leeds...
Tilley Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Millwall need to make sure they don't concede early on. The longer they keep it at 0-0 the more frustrated and nervous the Leeds fans and players will get. Saying that, I still expect them to crumble, unfortunately.
Asha Posted 14 May 2009 Posted 14 May 2009 Bloody troublemaker! You were like a row behind me weren't you? What did you make of my behaviour?
