Koke Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 I think Leeds will be too strong for them at home. Their home form is phenomenal.
Ultra Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Harris was immense. So cool. But how Sodje escaped being sent off I don't know. Are there different rules according to the importance of matches? Reckless over the ball tackle. What's complicated? Send the bloke off. I've no sympathy whatsoever. I thought that was Delph.. But Leeds looked a bit rattled today. And, as we know, Millwall know how to defend a lead. It will be a VERY tense evening in Leeds on Thursday...
MC Prussian Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 I think Leeds will be a bit to strong for Millwall at Elland Road. I think Leeds will be too strong for them at home. Their home form is phenomenal. We shall see. Leeds' disciplinary record could cost them in the end...

J.Lisemore Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Delph was pretty shit again. Really can't see the hype. Same. He doesn't seem to produce in the big matches. At Elland Road, at the Walkers and now at Millwall he was nothing special. £10 Million...Behave.
StanSP Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Delph was pretty shit again. Really can't see the hype. Can't see the £10m pricetag which some fans are giving him as well <_<
Part Of The Crowd Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 691 away fans for a play off game - Get out of here Better the 695 more dedicated fans that went than a couple of thousand 'big game fans'. I'm more amused about the almost empty block of home seats that were to our right, it isn't like it's a big stadium. It's odd though that we sold out our ticket allocation but far less actually turned up.
andyh1884 Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Andre Bikey, what a tool. Needless pull to give away a penalty, then stupid sending off & ridiculous reaction.
Tommeh Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Delph was pretty shit again. Really can't see the hype. Not much he can do though really, still being in Andy King's pocket. Oh and Bikey!!!! that was quality.

The allocation is 1,800 which is increased to 2,300 I think with the side bit. No away side should fail to sell out an away play-off game, Reading another example of shitness max 2,000 odd tonight when they'd no doubt have been offered the whole stand which is 4,600 or something.

I believe we had a 1000 allocation, it certainly looked a tad more than 695 last night although it was certainly not more than 1000. You must take into account we had no fans a few years ago so the fact that even 695 people are willing to travel several hours on a friday night is nothing short of a miracle. Our fanbase is growing year on year and we'll get there eventually with our away support. As it is I am happy with us having 'only' that many fans for that game, it was certainly entertaining and we didn't shut up all game. Away games with our fans are always fun experiences. Don't belittle our following, there is far more you can mock us for
weluv Posted 9 May 2009 Posted 9 May 2009 Got all the usual turkey chants & flags at the Den today. Plus our keeper being smacked in the face by a Millwall fan & being pelted with missiles. I am sitting here, utterly unable to comprehend why any of you would be supporting millwall. It's fasionable to hate us, i know, but most reasonable fans should be able to see that we are not the bunch of the 80s, just as Liverpool, Man Utd and yourselves have banished almost all of your hooligan element. Why would you want to visit the Den Again next year?

I don't want to visit the Den either, Millwall beat you and lose to Scunthorpe is my preference
Part Of The Crowd Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 If we don't get promoted (I would obviously love us to though) I would want Milwall to stay down with us, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Den earlier this season and their fans at our place were class, over 2000 on a tuesday night and boy were they loud. Great drinking partners too, one team I don't want to be separated from surprisingly

I hope those cockends stay down. I hope you both stay down. You lot are no better with your Munich chants either.
JakeShingler Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 FA to investigate crowd trouble between Leeds and Millwall at yesterdays play off semi final.

I am sitting here, utterly unable to comprehend why any of you would be supporting millwall. The vermin you can find on here might give you a clue (and yes, I know Millwall Independent is just as bad, but it's a much smaller site). Do you really believe that should Wall avoid defeat on Thursday, that it won't kick off either on or off the pitch? It's fasionable to hate us, i know, but most reasonable fans should be able to see that we are not the bunch of the 80s, just as Liverpool, Man Utd and yourselves have banished almost all of your hooligan element. So why are Millwall only being allowed to take 1000 fans to Elland Road? Why would you want to visit the Den Again next year? I don't. But I've no great wish to visit Elland Road either. I hope Scunny make it through the playoffs.
weluv Posted 10 May 2009 Posted 10 May 2009 we have a lot of dickheads, I'll admit. But, while there are several bad apples on WACCOE most of us are pretty good. As for the munich chants, I'm never heard them even in N8/9/10/11 at the back of the Gelderd. It seems to be a small minority on a few away days. Only time I've heard them this season was on the train to Walsall, and that was from a group of about 8 guys. The 'crowd trouble' being investigated is their pitch invasion, our guys did nothing. They're only being allowed to bring up 1,000 fans as the last few times they've come up they've tried to kick it off. Thankfully our guys haven't responded, but the idea seems to be that only the loyal 'wall fans who go for the football, and not the once/twice a season knuckledraggers who go for a fight.
Matt Posted 10 May 2009 Author Posted 10 May 2009 1-0 Down, Who gives a fook, There the Leedscum boys, And there staying down.

Only time I've heard them this season was on the train to Walsall, and that was from a group of about 8 guys. So how come the chants were heard on Sky when you played Millwall at ER in the league? Given that this was just after the anniversary of the disaster, it would have been a particularly sensitive time. The frequency of posts on Waccoe suggest the number of your fans who approve of such behaviour (or remain indifferent to it) are more than a "small minority". The 'crowd trouble' being investigated is their pitch invasion, our guys did nothing. There were whispers of skirmishes at London Bridge (nothing new), but that's a policing issue, nothing the FA can do anything about. So the tales of a "reception committee" waiting for Millwall outside the ground earlier this season were totally fabricated? Your local plod didn't seem to think so.. West Yorkshire Police said there were "incidents of sporadic disorder" both inside and outside the ground, during and after the match. Arrests were made for public order offences and criminal damage. Those involved in the disorder were all Leeds United fans, a force spokesman said.
Matt Posted 10 May 2009 Author Posted 10 May 2009 Shocking Penalty by Bury, Could have won the tie, Awful.
Matt Posted 10 May 2009 Author Posted 10 May 2009 Shocking Penalty by Bury, Could have won the tie, Awful. And Bury might look back at the rubbish penalty now. 88 Minutes gone, Bury 1-0 on aggregate...Shrewsbury score. 1-0 on the day, 1-1 on aggregate. Looks like this is going to extra time and maybe penalties.
