RizLCFC Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Are we likely to see this list published some time this week?
RizLCFC Posted 25 May 2009 Author Posted 25 May 2009 My guess is: Henderson Hayles Kisnorbo Worley N'Gotty Maybe: Edworthy Powell Adams (Not sure)

davieG Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Sorry I meant they will be out! Don'y apologise i knew exactly what you meant.
iancognito Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Jeesus, are we still paying NGotty!?! I thought he'd gone in last season's clearout.
Hitesh Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 You have the first three spot on. I doubt we will get rid of Adams. Put your money on quite a few younger players on the list! I'm not sure if they will publish the list though, maybe just something on the OS (if we are lucky) as and when players leave. I'm sure the players were told as soon as promotion was confirmed that they would be surplus to requirements.
Hitesh Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 Jeesus, are we still paying NGotty!?! I thought he'd gone in last season's clearout. Na, he retired I thought. And even when he was here his wages were paid by the insurance as he was injured! Same as Clemence!

I was a bit unsure over Adams, wouldn't be too disappointed if he was retained, but N'Gotty needs to go quicker the better, wasted alot of money on him, I believe he's the highest paid player at the club.

We aren't paying his wages though I beleive and don't think he would be the highest earner to be honest.
maddog Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 I rekon Powell may be given a 6 month deal to see how he goes, and i think he deserves at least that, if not 1 more year, assuming he still wants to play football. Adams should definitely be kept, he still hasn't been given a fair crack here, and Gradel hasn't exactly set the world alight last season, he also had a lot of poor games, but they are forgotten thanks to his free-kick at Mk Dons, passion for the club, and other odd bits of quality skill and flair. Adams should certainly be given a chance, as should Powell for 1 more year. And obviously IF Dj is unwilling to take a cut in wages or no other clubs want him, which is a big IF and he ends up staying at Leicester, then he should obviously be given a chance in the side aswell, but if he doesn't want to stay then i guess he should go, assuming another club want him and he may have to take a wage cut. I also think Asrit should be offered a 1 year deal for being very young and playing ok last season. I mean i haven't seen Verma play, but he was no where near the side last season and he's been offered a deal in the Championship, so i see no reason why Astrit wouldn't get a 1 year deal minimum. As for the keeper situation, looks like Hendo is leaving, if he doesn't though then he would be a decent enough number 2 keeper, behind hopefully a steady new signing. It also looks as if Kisnorbo is leaving, which doesn't bother me as we always lose when he's playing and it would be nice to see the back of another player who was in the side throughout the season after season of shit, even though he was one of the better performers. Mattock looks very dodgy, he's certainly not worth £2m currently, if its true Ipswich want him for that then we should probably sell, and maybe try to get a 20% sell on clause on top of that just incase he becomes a star, which i am seriously doubting as he hasn't improved in the last 2 seasons and if anything as got worse. Morrison on the other hand pretty much out shone Mattock in every department last season, and i'm not sure what wages Morrison is on, but i think he should be rewarded with maybe a £500 a week wage increase or something like that, nothing drastic. With the Tunch and Hobbs and Brown the defence is looking fairly solid. I also think Edworthy should be offered 1 more year as back up at right back, we have the new guy from Hearts who i think will be a solid player, and i think Tunch, Brown or Hobbs are all capable of playing right back if needed, and Luke O Neil may get a shot. But with Edworthy, Nillsen and all the others the defence looks really strong. Likewise i think Tunch could handle playing left back if needed, infact he could probably play in any position on the park the mighty Tunch, to back up Powell, Berner and Mattock if he stays. Dyer and Gradel are unproven Championship players, i think they will be ok though, they may not be good enough for a playoff push however so we certainly need to be looking to sign 1 or 2 new wingers. Oakley can certainly cope at Championship level, King was very impressive last season i think he will do fine, and with support of Berner if needed in a defensive midfield role it's looking ok and possibly Asrit on the bench if he stays. Clem is back from injury, i wouldn't mind him leaving but he may do a job. But i think we should be looking to sign a pacy central midfielder in the Mark Davies mould. Cleverly would be a nice signing. Upfront is where we have to worry though, Chambers disappeared last season he's a bench player at the very best, Dickov has 1 more year left and may chip in with 6 or 7 goals at most, and is old so has no pace. Fryatt is a proven waster in the Championship, lets hope he proves us all wrong next season, if he doesn't we could be in big trouble. Howard also was poor in the Championship last season, but on evidence of league one its clear we needed him and just him being on the pitch seemed to improve the results, regardless of whether he did much. I just keep saying to myself, hat trick at West Brom and they went up, hat trick at West Brom and they went up!!! Strikers are clearly our weakest position, we need to sign at least 2 new ones, a pacy one, Cox would be tasty, and possibly a Howard type player, but i would prefer 2 pacy strikers myself. It would certainly help the cause if Dj stays even if he starts on the bench, but if he wants to go he wants to go. Can't wait for the new season

Dan Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 What I would do if I was in charge 1. Paul Henderson - Release, not been present 2. Marc Edworthy - Release, not good enough for League One let alone Championship 3. Patrick Kisnorbo - Going anyway, and not had a good season. 4. Kerrea Gilbert - Probably won't be coming back 5. Aleksandar Tunchev - Keep, and if English is good enough have as a candidate for captain. 6. Stephen Clemence - Retire, thats my guess. 7. Tom Cleverley - Doubt we will see him back but it would be good if he did. 8. Matt Oakley - Keep and play next season. 9. Steve Howard - Same as Oakley. 10. DJ Campbell - Sell ASAP and preferably to QPR. 11. Lloyd Dyer - Same as Oakley and Howard but bring in another left winger for good competition, seemed to get his performances sky high. 12. Matty Fryatt - Keep and rotate with other forwards. 13. Conrad Logan - Going. 14. James Wesolowski - Way too injury prone to ever make any real impact for us, so sell for a decent amount. 15. Michael Morrison - Keep as back-up next season. 16. Nicky Adams - Possibly loan out to someone like Colchester and if he can't make an impact get rid. 17. Bruno N'Gotty - Release 18. Levi Psssh - Release, will never have any impact on us again tbh. 19. Barry Hayles - Offer him 36 new contracts, all £100,000 a week. And really release. 20. Harry Worley - Get rid, hes never had any impact and doubt he ever will. 21. Ashley Chambers - Loan out to a high league one team and see if he makes an impact. 22. Max Gradel - Loan out to League One for a month or so and if he performs give him a run in our team. 23. Joe Mattock - Keep as back-up 24. Andy King - Rotate with other new midfielders in the squad. 25. Jack Hobbs - Give him a run for potential captaincy, and play whenever possible. 26. David Martin - Probably will not play for us again, but would be a good back-up if we get him on a permanent deal. 27. Paul Dickov - Offer mutual termination. 28. Luke O'Neill - Give Robbie Neilson a run for his money at right back or possibly loan out. 29. Chris Powell - Offer him a coaching job. 30. Craig King - Loan him out to high League Two / Mid to low League One and see how he performs. 31. Bruno Berner - Probably sell, getting on and didn't set League One alight at all. 32. Alex Cisak - Keep but loan out. 33. Mark Davies 34. Aman Verma - Loan out to League One or Two. 35. Carl Pentney - Loan out to a decent League One side. 36. Wayne Brown - Back-up to Tunchev and Hobbs. 37. David Stockdale - Doesn't look like hes coming. 38. Tony Warner - Same as Stockdale 39. Astrit Ajdarevic - Offer him a contract but pay no more than £1k a week.
FoxesFan123 Posted 25 May 2009 Posted 25 May 2009 I'd probably add the likes of Psssh, Hayes and Sappleton to that leaving list. Although they're not out of contract, I wouldn't be surprised if they're contracts were ended early.
Fox92 Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 My guess is:Henderson Hayles Kisnorbo Worley N'Gotty Maybe: Edworthy Powell Adams (Not sure) I 'heard' that we were going to swap Adams for that Dany N'Guesson (however you spell it ) Then again, if he is a free that cannot happen, can it?

Basingstoke Fox Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 That's spectacularly harsh. He's done his time in League One I have never heard that phrase before
Calum McDermott Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 We aren't paying his wages though I beleive and don't think he would be the highest earner to be honest. He is the highest paid player at the club.
Flynny Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 also think Asrit should be offered a 1 year deal for being very young I've got a cousin even younger who supports Leicester, he's far more deserving.
Flynny Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 Or your baby brother, he's got more pace than Fryatt. Loads more, he's crawling now.
Dan Posted 26 May 2009 Posted 26 May 2009 That's spectacularly harsh. He's done his time in League One And not performed.
