Ideally, I wouldn't pay more than £500,000, if you're going to buy a striker who is big and good at heading, for a another £500,000 you could get a player than has a bit of pace, which everyone knows is lacking upfront. But finishing isn't everything. Aston Villa paid £3.5m on Heskey who only seems able to scuff or bundle shots into the goal. But I'm presuming a big chunk of that fee is down to the pace.

GLC Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 He is a good boy , once saved people that have problems with their car in remote parts of the rhodopes (mountain) during the winter . Currently he has 13 goals this season . Most of them with head , he is really good at positioning during corners . Does some decent work in taking first ball . Good physics overall , not very fast . Despite his many goals most of them he scores in one match , often 2 or 3 goals if he has a day . Inconsistent if that was the word . I can't say how will he do in Championship , i just have no idea of the football there . Mihailove is not a real keeper , he is just terrible . But his father is the president of Bulgarian Football Union .... Missed one thing about Saidhodzha , he was in prison for 2months for beating a policeman .
flanimal Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 I've seen Saidhodza play on Eurosport, but I didn't connect until I heard the name Muscho and the no. 99 on the shirt. I'm not going to say he made an impression, 'cause he didn't. He was just an alright player, the only reason I remember him is because of the baseball style no. 99 jersey and the distinctly un-Bulgarian name of Muscho. My comments are pretty fair, all I'm saying is is that a player is going to cost less if they are a good finisher and slow, versus a good finisher who is fast. Can we at least agree that a player who has pace may command more transfer fees?
