When there's a load of your own supporters singing the "she said no, Dickov" song you just know he isn't loved around these here parts anymore.

I'm betting no one would be upset if he announced his retirement or moving to another club over the summer.

The one thing I thank Leeds fans for.

She said no, Dickov,

She said no,

She said no, Dickov,

She said no,

She said no, Dickov,

She said no,

Paul Dickov, she said no.

Gave it his all first time round, liked him a lot. Was enoyed when he went to Blackburn, rightly kept out of the team by Howard and Fryatt last season journeyman striker now. Don't think hes championship quality now but has a year left on his contract. Should really terminate his contract by mutal consent and move on to the lower leagues best for all concerned, still would like to thank him for his efforts.

Obviously his best days are gone but I think he's good to have around and on the bench, poeple forget it was his "never say die" attitude that forced the corner in the Leeds game that led to Howard's winner. In my book thats good enough!!!

We don`t know what he does behind the scenes to help the youngsters, I'm sure if NP had any doubts he would have been released yesterday.

As he has a contract I don't think so...

Paul Dickov didn't do anything at La Manga. Matt Elliot said so, and if he says so - it goes.

He was a brilliant player for us in his first stay at the club, and I loved him.

I still like the bloke, you can tell he's genuine, and wants to do well. Unfortunately, he's a little too old to compete sufficiently. I have respect for him, though. I reckon there'd be no harm done if he played a role behind the scenes.

Strictly speaking he did, He broke a curfew, So did the other lads that were out that night, and Micky Adams has to take some of the blame for trusting them to be good lads and stay in, or be in by such a time - However they are grown men and should be expected to be trusted.

He deserves the chance to prove himself after resting in the summer. At the end of the day we are paying him anyway so we may as well give him that chance to make a difference.

He doesn't deserve anything if there are better alternatives.

He has been a utter piece of garbage this year, but you got to remember the man has not had a pre season to get fit for the season, had a operation on his back (thats a hard thing to get over). I know lots of people wll disagree with me on this forum. But i think dickov will be a better player next season becaus he will be match fit.

I'm fairly sure I read he was allowed to train back with Man City during pre-season and just before joining us, The operation fair point apparently that was a big operation apparently.

EDIT;

Yeah he did train with Man City over Pre-Season.

The 35-year-old striker, who has completed his pre-season training programme with Manchester City, is available for selection this weekend.

Dickov had his chance, He threw it in our faces, some may give him a second chances, many other won't - I'm one of them.

Dickov is Dickov, a hardworking footballer that football fans like to see.

And although he has only scored 3 (I think!), I really like him and I think some people were expecting to much of him, which is fine as he scored for fun at Blackpool last season. But he is 36/37 isn't he? and I mean he is not going to offer much more than what he did when he first came to the club in 2002 at his tender age.

He has had a back injury, a bad injury that put him out for a few months so he hasen't appeared consistently. Now come on, how can he b fit this season? A back injury is very serious and hard to get over never mind play football at League 1 level.

But, he has scored one of the more essential goals this season; Colchester at home. And I tell you what, that was a great goal. It may not have been struck from 30 yards out but he had to control the ball quickly and on his chest before tapping it home. He also made the corner at home to Leeds when Stevie Howard netted. He started the near revive at Craven Cottage in the Carling Cup as well as scoring the third against Leyton Orient (yes, I know it was a penelty but a goal is a goal!)

I hope he stays on for another season, as his contract says, he may not be Torres or David Villa, but he offers a decent

back-up to whatever strike force plays and he is a general pest. - One that will get on defenders nerves.

Good luck to Paul Dickov and I hope he stays on in the future, wether it be a player or a coach.

To be honest he was poor last season maybe it's time he hung his boots up :dunno:
