Darkzzz_ Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Great for la liga, two of the worlds best in the same league, imagine if Real got Ronaldo too. Blimey!! Even though he is at Real, whom I'm not a huge fan of I wish him all the best, would rather he went there than Chelsea. Can't wait for the season to start now!!
Samilktray Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 And now David Villa it seems? May aswell give them the title now.
lildave3 Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 First Kaka, now Villa? :w00t: Fabulous. Take the title back to Madrid.
Uncle Albert Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 £56 million for Kaka?! A.C must think Christmas has come early. Kaka is a very good player but noway is he worth that amount, saying that Berbatov was apparently worth £30 million last summer. No wonder teams hold out for stupid amounts of money now they are seeing players like Kaka going for that amount, United won't let Ronaldo go for less than £80 million now.
Shrenchel Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Real reported to be close to 600 million euros in debt.
Darkzzz_ Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 And now David Villa it seems?May aswell give them the title now. Blimey Perez must be holding these banks at gunpoint. They know they have work to do to get the title back, It would be a disaster if they didn't challenge. It is going to be exciting. It is like the early 2000's, I just hope that doesn't mean Barca finishing in ridiculous league positions again!! £56 million for Kaka?! A.C must think Christmas has come early. It is getting silly isn't it. It got silly when somebody decided Darren Bent was worth £15 odd million. Kaka is world class footballer but the money is insane. Football = business!!
Tevez Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Fork me, if people like Torres who got purchased for 20m just think how much he is going to cost now? Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney etc must be well in the 70m - 100m bracket now.
Uncle Albert Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 It is getting silly isn't it. It got silly when somebody decided Darren Bent was worth £15 odd million. Kaka is world class footballer but the money is insane. Football = business!! Damn right. Darren Bent that summer went for more money than Henry went for when he moved to Barca. How does that one work? Some footballers are worth the extreme amount of money that they transfer for but Kaka has gone for more money than Zidane? There is no chance in hell that Kaka can be classed as a better player than Zidane was.

StanSP Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 By that same thing, Akinbiyi was never 5 times better than Trevor Francis. Times change. What?!
Uncle Albert Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 By that same thing, Akinbiyi was never 5 times better than Trevor Francis. Times change. Akinbiyi was shit full stop. That was down to one person splashing money on useless turds. How anyone can say Kaka is worth that amount of money is stupid. Like Tevez said Torres went for £20 million, Rooney £25 million, Henry £16 million these are all players who are probably better players than Kaka and he is going for stupid amounts. Times do change but Zidane must be thinking 'WTF?!' when he seen this transfer go through.
Shrenchel Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 By that same thing, Akinbiyi was never 5 times better than Trevor Francis. Times change. There was about 25 years and the complete commercialisation of English football between them to. Zidane was about 7 years ago.
Darkzzz_ Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 I agree with half of what your saying, the money part. Kaka isn't over rated though, he is class. Good point on Torres too. Look at his fee, pretty cheap really. What would he command now?

Darkzzz_ Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Madrid would have to smash the transfer record again if they want Ronaldo too.
MarkDeVries Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Madrid would have to smash the transfer record again if they want Ronaldo too. Perez said he chose friendship with United instead of signing Ronaldo, my arse.
Darkzzz_ Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Perez said he chose friendship with United instead of signing Ronaldo, my arse. Perez is a sly dog, but to be fair, he is the man that delivers.
Koke Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Times change and so does football. In 10 years time Some 24 year old world class player will be sold for £60m. And equally, 10 years ago Simon Cox would have cost us £200k and not £2m. Kaka is worth what Real Madrid is willing to pay.
Jon the Hat Posted 9 June 2009 Posted 9 June 2009 Good article in the Times on how Real can afford Kaka. The tax bit is interesting.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 19 June 2009 Posted 19 June 2009 It was inevitable that Ronaldo would follow Kaka to Real Madrid, A Brazilian is always followed by an irritating C**t!

Ultra Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 Good article in the Times on how Real can afford Kaka. The tax bit is interesting. But surely equally applies to Barca...
