C'mon everybody, be happy with the clean sheet! :appl:;)

valid point, their commentators were very complimentary about the defence.

Just got back

Average performance but hey its pre season.

First half we looked ok, N'Guessan played up top with Howard. Howard had a couple of chances. Brown won everything in the air. He played well at Dynamo too. For me hes pushing for a start against Swansea as opposed to a backup for Hobbs and Tunch. Dyer and Gradel were rusty down the wings. Gradel was especially very average.

Wellens played how I expected simple passes. Side to side and back mainly, not a lot of offensive passing.

Second half a lot of changes made, N'Guessan went wide left, looked a lot happier on the wing. A couple of nice runs and a couple of good chances on goal.

Dickov was just Dickov, tried hard but hasent got it any more. Tried in vane to hold the ball up. Chambers came on dont rate the boy did nothing. Hes no Billy Kee.

King tried to support the strikers by making some late runs into the box Izzet style, but nobody picked him out.

They had a goal disallowed and were the better team second half

Biggest round of applause was for the Tunch, sprayed the ball about from the back.

Overall, fitness exercise really. We lacked quality up front but we all no we are short there and we need strikers soon.

Mansfield sang "Championship team your having a laugh" at us, and that somes up the performance.

How did Astrit do?

Played down the middle when he came on second half instead of mainly down the left at Dynamo.

Played better then he did at Dynamo, his passing was better but shooting was very poor.

Overall he is not first team quality yet for me especially in the Championship. He tends to drift out of the action a bit too much and will get found out at this level.

Although it wasn't a good result, I'm not really bothered - 0-0 v Mansfield pre-season, who gives a shit.

I'm just pleased that the players seemed to function, and that they seemed able to play football. No injuries as well, so a bonus. Get the shitty performances out now, and then show Swansea what we can do.

I didn't expect Leicester to go for it hardcore stylee.

Just rained again for around 15 minutes, looks fine now though, brightening up again.

Wasn't heavy rain!

No more rain expected according to weather reports.

Well they were stupid weather reports.

News flash: Flash photography is banned from Field Mill as it may blind players.

lol

Wankers.

You really couldn't make it up.

n'guessan just wide

I thought he was solidly built, and it must be his height that gives that impression when compared with some of the other players.

Full time! Bit early in my opinion

Believe me, it couldn't come soon enough.

King's free-kick near the end must rank among the worst ever taken by an international footballer.

Seriously.

It was THAT poor...

He slipped!

Wellens looked good. So did O'Neill.

Michael Morrison will get turned inside out in the Championship.

We were crap, they were poor, they worked a lot harder but that was hardly a surprise, our star man IMO was Wellens, watch out for his passing people he can pick a pass out just like that, his awareness as well is very impressive. Agree with what was said about King's free kick, that was just totally awful it is without doubt the worst free-kick i've ever seen from an international footballer. N'Guessan was pretty average but does know how to beat a man, Weale looked comfortable, Gradel was crap etc.

One thing must be said, we saw it a lot last season, but there is absolutely no way we can get away with not signing another 2 strikers, we need a big man up front as cover for Howard, because the defence on a regular occasion would choose the lazy option long ball up to Dickov and Chambers, so frustrating. Kermorgant in.
