You were assuming i said/meant something that i didn't.

The first dictionary i found on "invade".

1. to enter forcefully as an enemy; go into with hostile intent:

3. to enter as if to take possession: to invade a neighbor's home.

5. to intrude upon: to invade the privacy of a family.

6. to encroach or infringe upon: to invade the rights of citizens.

8. to penetrate; spread into or over: The population boom has caused city dwellers to invade the suburbs.

Alot more, especially No.6 :

I can hear the sound of both of your braincells banging together.

Gordon Bennett, your hearing must be brilliant. Much better than your English. It's brain cells actually. Two words not one!

True, but you're missing my point somewhat - you could very well say about someone who's broken the law "well they're a criminal and so I say they should be behind bars", which sounds a reasonable enough thing to say, but if you're talking about someone who's got a speeding ticket for doing 35 in a 30 zone it's not really. Logic like "they're invaders and invaders are bad" is exactly the same - sounds reasonable at first but fails to draw any distinctions between anything at all.

The irony between the beginning and ending of your post is astonishing. Whats not bad about invasion?

A dozen Kurds on a rubber dinghy, Operation Shock and Awe; what's the difference?

Invasion is just about the most extreme analogy that can be made. You might as well say that anybody killed by carbon monoxide poisoning has been murdered by British Gas.

whereas you however :D

I sure as shit wasn't about to go there.........

Both are invasions. A tap-in is one goal, a rocket goal from 40 yards that bursts the net is one goal. A dozen kurds could be a real danger. A salesman calls at your door, you let him in, could be on cocaine and thus very dangerous, a professional burglar attempting to rob you would probably only take, and leave you unharmed, both invasions of your life, but you'd probably be more wary of the theif.

Give it a rest now will you mate. You've made your point but I don't think you've converted anyone. It's getting boring now.

I was using a deliberately frivolous analogy to point out how silly your analogy was.

Look up the meaning of irony before posting.

Is that what it was, it didn't work :D

Explain the irony to me, I don't see any discrepancy at all. And again, spectacularly missing the point: my entire point is that things that can be described by one word in effect can still vary to a large degree.

And the Sun readers believe Eastenders & Coronation Street are real with more readers that's really scary :P

My Mrs fits into that category! It drives me wild :D

She's an ethnic invader, not an illegal invader.

An invader's an invader.
