Is there any crucial etiquette that i need to know. - If you're in SK1, you MUST cheer Steve Howard's every touch. That's basically it. Obviously Take a seat cushion and practice booing beforehand. demon_dog Posted 8 August 2009 Posted 8 August 2009 As a new season ticket holder, This will be my first time in the Spion Kop. Can anyone please enlighten me on the following points1. Is there any crucial etiquette that i need to know. Always stick your middle finger up toward the opposition fans. 2. What is the most sung chant that I need to know. If you love Leicester stand up. 3. If the sun is out does it shine straight down the ground, hence will I need Sunglasses. Only as a disguise. 4. If it rains does the rain blow into SK2, hence will i need a waterproof. If in the front half dozen rows then yes otherwise no. 5. Is there any precise moment i need to stand up. Yes, to leave the ground. 6. Should i bring a flask of Tea. It is compulsory that ALL kop newcomers bring cream cakes for those around them, to either eat at half time or throw at the ref. 7. Is there a Mr Big, that i should'nt annoy. Depends on how brave you are. Thanking you in advance

Is there a Mr Big, that i should'nt annoy Hi there my dear spion virgin! You already have been advised on the above by your fellow posters, however a couple of further tips for you as follows. 1) Ask those around you, " Am I on the Left side or am I on the Right side?" Essential that you know this to enable you to sing the correct words to the song. 2) Be sure to wear a generous amount of pink, your fellow koppites will then treat you very gently & The Bigman will look after you. Please give me a wave just before kick off so that I know where you are. Enjoy!
demon_dog Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 So, what did our kop virgin('s) think of it on Saturday. Did you take any of the advice into consideration. Areport on your findings would be welcome.

Braunyfox Posted 12 August 2009 Author Posted 12 August 2009 I have Jotted down a few points that I noticed on Saturday during my first visit in the KOP. 1. I was sat in the middle behind the goal so was rather confused when the exciting rendition of Left side Right side started up. 2. I for sure will definately not freeze in the winter as I was sandwiched between two guys bigger than me and I for one am not that small 3. Was I sitting in the plonker section as first half some around me were cursing every ball played and every player was a total twat who should not be playing for the club and within the time it took me to move my bits from the right side to the left side, they were all world beaters who were great signings and were destined to be LCFC Legends Must admit I did enjoy it, after 45 years of never buying a season ticket or supporting a Football League club the experiience was great. Got interviewd by Radio Leicester and saw myself on The Football League Show, what more could a man want. Oh and the tea was crap so will take a flask next time. Here's to Barnsley Note to self: Must learn what comes after Der Der Der, Der Der Der, Der Der Der Der Der ????? was it Der
CosbehFox Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 So, what did our kop virgin('s) think of it on Saturday.Did you take any of the advice into consideration. Areport on your findings would be welcome. I thought the atmosphere on Saturday was one of the best in ages. When it really got going in the second half, it was some 'noise'. Oh and the tea was crap so will take a flask next time. You're broken the first and second rule of the Kop. Not really.
