Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 OK, so i got the day wrong and travelled to Macclesfield a day early, I was not impressed. But it does give me the chance to relay back some info:The train station is about a mile and a half from the ground and stright down the main road, no chance of missing it. There is nothing to do around the ground, literally nothing. I couldn't see a ticket office, i think it is pay-on-the-gate. The open terrace looks very exposed, i'd bring a waterproof! There is no car park but loads of on street parking if you get there soon enough, i wouldn't leave any leicester stuff on display in your car, but i guess that is common sense. I wold ask the question that how in God's name can you get the day wrong with things like the internet and newspapers telling you when the fixtures are? Having said that least you got to tells us all the relevant information about where to park, and so on.

Guest Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 I only found out it was on Wednesday on Sunday. As you weren't going to go to the game, no harm done in that case.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 possibly with city. if he withdraws from the squad because of injury then bulgaria can force the 5 day rule meaning he can't play for us on saturday. so maybe hes joining up with the bulgaria squad because he's now fit enough to play a part against ipswich and wants to play so he's making sure he doesn't get banned (as it were) from playing on saturday. Good point. You'd think Bulgaria would use a bit of common sense and allow him to stay here, than treck thousands of miles for nothing.

Legend_in_blue Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 This is nothing more than a 'competitive' pre-season friendly. Easy win.
mancunianfox Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 How did you manage to travel early? Thanks for the info though!
tbf Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 I think i just assumed that all of the games were on tuesday, I got my girlfriend to drive us there from Manchester so it wasn't so much hassle. It looked pretty quiet, no activity, and so i started to wonder what was going on. I thought maybe i'd got the wrong team, but there was an outside broadcast lorry outside so i thought it must be right. A quick check on the iPhone revealed the full extent of my foolishness and so began the piss taking from girlfriend and then from work mates this morning when the asked the score. Anyway, a lesson learned.

That would be much worse. 'How was the game last night mate?' 'Didn't see it. Went to Macclesfield when we were playing Morecambe.' 'Oh. Bummer'
leftsideoverhere Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 I got my girlfriend to drive us there from Manchester ... And is she still your girlfriend?
