Guest Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 If we win tomorrow I think we will get at least a point from Saturday. The momentum should hopefully follow through. But apart from McCauley scord in a 2-0 win we never do well there do we? I remember 2nd game of the season losing 6-1..... What about Mark Robins winner for us in the League Cup? How can people forget this?
suffolk fox Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 Living in this part of the world most of my work colleagues are Ipswich supporters and they are expecting big things at the moment. Especially of Roy Keane. They have played two games losing narrowly to Cov on Saturday and drawing last night 3-3 before going through on penalties. It is their first home game of the season and like us last week will want to put on a good show for their home support. I don't think it is going to be easy only because of our previous record at Portman Road. However, be positive and I can see at least a draw. If Waghorn starts and runs with pace at McCauley anything can happen. Oh a lot of Ipswich fans don't rate McCauley at all and reckon he only gets in their team because of Keane and the Irish connection. Norris is a big loss for them.
Asha Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 On a side not, Ipswich played this young lad, Connor Wickham, who scored twice. Then they mentioned he was born on March 31st, 1993. Makes me feel a bit old that, knowing there's players a year younger than me scoring in the football league/cups etc.
Dames Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 I think we'll snatch a 1-0. Keane certainly isn't the manager the media crack him up to be, not at all.

He's an animal. 6 foot 3, built like a shithouse, great touch too.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 What about Mark Robins winner for us in the League Cup? How can people forget this? I was thinking more in the league and in recent seasons but yes I should never have forgotten that.
Budweiser Posted 12 August 2009 Posted 12 August 2009 He came on against Cov too. He's an animal. 6 foot 3, built like a shithouse, great touch too. Agreed. Looks a promising talent. One of the Prem teams will probably steal him anyway

Corky Posted 13 August 2009 Posted 13 August 2009 Ipswich maybe a good side, but we can go there and get something. Hopefully, if we frustrate them, the crowd will get annoyed and that will work in our favour.
