maddog Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 We've only played Peterborough twice this decade, and haven't played them in the Championship. The 2 games were back in League One last season, we destroyed them 4-0 at home, and they destroyed us 2-0 away. We have started the Championship season well, winning every home match and unlucky not to get a victory in at least one away game. Peterborough have so far struggled to adapt to life in the Championship, but have lead in their previous 2 matches, before drawing 1-1 against QPR and Palace. They haven't won a match yet though in the League, but have managed to thrash Wycombe and beat stuggling Ipswich 2-1 in the League Cup. You would have to tip Peterborough to be in the relegation fight though, they lie just above the drop zone currently, and need to start getting some results, they have only bagged 1 point away from home so far. So coming to the Walkers Stadium has come at a bad time for them, and you would have to tip us to win this one and keep our 100% home record going. I think NP can afford to tinker with the team a little for this, i would rest a few players, and be looking to start Tunchev, Adams and possibly Yann Kermogrant. These guys need a full game under their belts, and i think NP can give it to them for this game, and make sure the others don't get tired with Watford away next Saturday. I know i've predicted a win for every game so far, but sorry i'm predicting a win here again. I don't think it will be as easy as last seasons affair, but i hope we can win it safely 2-1, with Peterborough scoring a late consolation goal :locked:

bjblyth Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 7-0 WinFryatt to bag 5. I wonder what the odds are on that...
Ozwin Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I think we'll batter them 5-0 and pundits will be raving about us all week until we get beaten 3-0 by Watford on Saturday.
Karljohn Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Im looking forward to the away game, lots of sporting blue/green fires on the terrace, streakers and mounted police! anyone remember the 3-0 defeat about 15 years ago?! Tuesday night - 2-0 - Howard and Hobbs I'll go for....

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 3-1 Howard to score one at least as Posh wont be able to deal with him as they arent big enough anywhaere on the pitch. I will be pissed off if we dont win this for the fact Posh arent actually that good at all. Very overrated. They are ok going forward, shite at the back and have no plan B.
PoshWeAre Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Afternoon! I just drove past a dead fox and it reminded me to come on here and say hello. Last time I was on this site we'd just beaten you 2-0 and you lot were bricking yourselves, conceding the title to us and generally overreacting. In the end it all turned out ok, you ran away with it and we held off Dongs and Wall for 2nd place. Looks like life in the CCC is going well for you then? I'm looking forward to Tuesday and going to a midweek away game without even having to leave work early.

Pete_foxes Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 A game I expect us to win, I'll go 2-0 to city. However they are not going in my Accumulator, the've cost me dearly far too many times
LCFC-ARAB Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 1-0 to us Fryatt first minute goal and we shit our selfs for the other 89
Ford Super Sunday Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I rarely want to beat a team so badly, words cannot describe... With exception of this game, for one simple reason... the media. Remember the summer, do you remember when we got promoted? well the media didn't, apparantly last season only 'saintly' Peterborough went up, and they seemed to be the only team in the whole league which had a chance of doing well. Sky certainly made sure we remembered their stunning 2nd place, a long way behind the winners, who... well I forget who the winners were to be fair. Of course, half of me was delighted, the more attention taken off of us the better, let us get on with the job quietly and peacefully But the constant love in with a team, just because their manager was a certain 'Ferguson' annoyed me, and I love the fact they have yet to win, and we are sitting in 6th place. We have made a perfect 'two fingers up to the media' start to the season, while Mr. Ferguson has seemed to show that hey, maybe he ain't all that great after all, and maybe they should have devoted time to Nigel (though his one word answers would have put them off ) Anyway, we should win this, and we should further emphasise that we probably should have been taken more seriously than, even now, we are being taken. But I have to say the media attention on Peterborough has diminished slightly hasn't it... I wonder why Sky's penis isn't firmly up Darrens bum-hole anymore?
Pete_foxes Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Don't forget their manager is a bellend. haha, gets it from his dad

samjohnson Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 4-0 win again... Another "Cup Final" for Peterborough... Fryatt brace with Brown header then Howard to finish it off
Brainy Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 I really dont like P'boro either, nor do I understand the hype about them.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 Blimey! Someone isn't getting any! And when someone resorts to personal insults, they usually don't have much of an argument. Had you won all six games, maybe the over-hype might have been justified, but it seems maybe your 'much feared' attack isn't actually that scary. Anyway, i'm glad you enjoyed every media outlet from the UK coming over and giving you some attention, it's about time 2nd place in League 1 was rewarded with such newsprint and air time.
Budweiser Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 P'boro are going down whichever way you look at it imo.
PoshWeAre Posted 13 September 2009 Posted 13 September 2009 4-0 win again... Another "Cup Final" for Peterborough... Fryatt brace with Brown header then Howard to finish it off Not another one! Do we get any trophies for all these cup finals we keep winning? I really dont like P'boro either, nor do I understand the hype about them. There's hype about us?
