Ford Super Sunday Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Earlier this month I posted a thread in the ticket section, giving the cost of tickets for Students (and some adults) for nearly all of our remaining away games. I have decided to do a sequal, but this time, give an insight into the matchday away tickets for Premier League opponents. I have listed the opponent, because obviously some are more with bigger opposition, I tried to get smaller teams, as we would be more likely to fall under that category... here are the results. (Just to make it clear, the ticket prices are for the ground of the first team mentioned... info retrived from the club in brackets) Arsenal (Opponents: Blackburn) £32.50 Adults, £16.25 for 65+ and under 16s (Opponents: Spurs) £47 Adults, £23.50 Concessions Aston Villa (Opponents: Portsmouth) £34 Adults, £24 over 65-s, £24 Young Adult, £20 Juniors Birmingham City (Opponents: Sunderland) £35 Adults, £17.50 65+ Blackburn Rovers (Opponents: Aston Villa) £35 Adults, £25 65+, £15 Under 16's Bolton Wanderers (Opponents: Tottenham) UPPER TIER: £31 Adults, £21 65+, £11 Under 16 LOWER TIER: £23, £17, £11 Burnley (Opponents: Birmingham) £32 Adults, £21 65+, £16 Under 16's Chelsea (Opponents: Liverpool) UPPER TIER: £47 Adults, £19.50 Cons LOWER TIER: £44 Adults, £19.50 Cons Everton (Opponents: Stoke) Prices Range from £28-£34 for Adults, Some 65+ for £20 and £17 for Under 16's. Disabled for £32 Fulham (Info retrived from Fulham Site) Category B game in the Neutral end: £40 Adults, £30 65+, £20 Juniors Hull City (Opponent: Wigan Athletic) £24.50 Adults, £14.50 65+ Liverpool (Info Retrived from Liverpool site) £36 Adults, £27 65+ Manchester City (Opponents: West Ham) £28 Adults, £14 65+, £10 Under 16's, £14 16-17, £22 18-21 Manchester United (Opponents: Sunderland) £42 Adults, £23.50 65+, £15 Under 16's ALSO (Opponents: Wolves (Carling Cup) £41, £23, £10 Portsmouth (Opponents: Tottenham) £34 Adults, £25 +65, £14 under 16's Stoke City (Opponents: West Ham) £30 Adults, £21 +65, Concessions £14-£17, Disabled £21 Sunderland (Opponents: Wolves) £27 Adults, £17 65+, £10 Under 16 Tottenham (Opponents: Burnley) UPPER TIER: £32.30 Adults, £19.60 65+, £16.70 Under 16. LOWER TIER: £27.40, £17.70, £14.70 West Ham (Opponents: Fulham) £35 Adults, £17.50 65+, £17 Under 16 Wigan Athletic (Opponents: Chelsea) £25 Adults, £18 Concessions. Wolverhampton (Opponents: Portsmouth) £24 Adults, £14 65+ and Students, £11 under 16's, £8 under 12s ALSO Vs. Aston Villa £38 Adults, £25 65+ and Students So not cheap, an adult ticket to all of those comes to roughly £652.30, before travel and other costs. Are those prices pretty similar to the costs in our 03/04 Premier League season? it'd be interesting for a comparison. Also interesting to note that some games are cheaper than QPR (£30) and Ipswich (£31) in this division. Ticket prices eh... cheap as platinum.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Chelsea's prices are ludicrous, especially if you get stuck with the letterbox view that some of us in the lower tier did in the CC a year or two ago. Also £40 for Fulham is appalling really.
C-man Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Quite happy to stay in the Championship thanks.
davieG Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 As I've said before promotion will turn me into an armchair fan considering you can pretty much watch most of each of the games on Sky for an extra £25approx a month. I certainly can't afford those prices, it'll be interesting to see how much LCFc will raise their prices.

Obviously these prices are higher than the Championship but not by a tremendous amount (except for the silly Chelsea, Fulham prices), unfortunately the championship is slowly beginning to price fans out of the game too.

dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Were you on the back row at the bottom like me Yes, fooking awful view, watching 22 pairs of ankles go around for 90 minutes!
Guest Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 I hope that if we are promoted, I am fully qualified and earning good money, then!
Bert Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Obviously these prices are higher than the Championship but not by a tremendous amount (except for the silly Chelsea, Fulham prices), unfortunately the championship is slowly beginning to price fans out of the game too. You do know Chelsea V Fulham is a big local derby.
AjcW Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Yes, fooking awful view, watching 22 pairs of ankles go around for 90 minutes! , I was just amused by the lunatics pulling mooneys at Joe Cole and his family Great game though no matter what the view. I watched all the goals on replay on a monitor through the blinds of the executive bit behind.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 You do know Chelsea V Fulham is a big local derby. The Fulham prices are for a category B game which I'm guessing is going to be bottom-half opposition, £40 is stupidly steep for that.
Bert Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 The Fulham prices are for a category B game which I'm guessing is going to be bottom-half opposition, £40 is stupidly steep for that. I forgot Fulham was an absolute hole and everyone around there was poor. The prices are that high because people can afford to pay it, and will carry on to do so.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 I forgot Fulham was an absolute hole and everyone around there was poor. The prices are that high because people can afford to pay it, and will carry on to do so. Yes but we're talking about away fans here.
Maybes Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 I will become a non-attender at those prices.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 I will become a non-attender at those prices. Same. Sadly though those ridiculous prices'll never come down because there'll always be idiots prepared to pay literally anything to fill the seat you vacated.
Sods Posted 23 September 2009 Posted 23 September 2009 Wolves fans were charged £41 tonight to see their side lose to Man United reserves, apperently a boycott was going to be made. I don't know the away attendance but hopefully it was low enough for teams to realise that we aren't all mugs. Fair play to the Arsenal who dropped prices.
Uncle Albert Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Yes but we're talking about away fans here. Fulham and Chelsea is in the same area, so if Fulham can afford to pay them prices then Chelsea fans should be able to aswell.
Anish Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Same.Sadly though those ridiculous prices'll never come down because there'll always be idiots prepared to pay literally anything to fill the seat you vacated. Well it's all about individual choice - just because somebody can afford to pay £40+ or is prepared to pay £40+ for a ticket, it doesn't mean they're an "idiot". The clubs aren't forcing people to pay that much money - if you want to, you can.

Durnerz Posted 24 September 2009 Posted 24 September 2009 Seems funny now i'm going to see Inter Milan at the San siro for £17
