Lisa, whats not to dislike or even hate about Islam?

I'm not one of those skinhead idiots who goes round saying all muslims are bombers but still...

they oppress women, stone homosexuals, want sharia law (barbaric) in UK, kill animals horribly to make halal meat etc

Islam apparently means 'love' but islam is based on anything but. Muslims are obliged to convert all muslims using whatever means they see fit. They are hyper-sensitive and will not tolerate anyone questioning or criticising them. They play the 'poor me' card far too much and make no effort to integrate. We get nothing in return for allowing them to build mosques and schools. Those born here seem to hate this country and have no gratitude for the fact that their ancestors were allowed to come here and settle.

And some races/nationalities/ethnic groups are apparently fair game. I don't remember many people leaping to the defense of our Welsh guests on the first day of the season.

Anyway, I used to be a season ticket holder at Shrewsbury when I was growing up, as Leicester was a bit far to travel, plus I doubt my mother would have liked me getting the bus for 4 hours to get to Leicester. The abuse that was meted out to any visiting black players was unbelievable, and while some took it in good grace, you could tell it really got to some people. Its something that I am very glad has been mostly removed from the game these days. I can't remember the last time I heard a racist comment shouted at a Leicester game, although I normally sit in a fairly quiet area of the ground.

To be honest, Racism has been around for centurys, be it white people, black people, irish, mexicans, welsh. It's been around for years.

People live in a society where things can be taken the wrong way.

This debate began as a CASUAL RACISM thread, now it is starting to become a flame war.
