casual racism

At the Watford away game when we were 3 - 2 a guy next to me shouted "somebody mark the nigger" during one of Watford's many attacks in the second half, perhaps at Mariappa I don't know. It was slightly ironic that the equaliser was scored by an unmarked Danny N'Guessen.

I kind of assumed this sort of casual racism had left Leicester a long time go. With Casualsunited on the rise I'd hate for our club to regress to the 1980s.

The highs and lows experienced during the Watford game are what I love about football - The above is the kind of nonsense that gives football a bad name

i think racism is so deep rooted in society, that it will never fully be erased.

that is not a reason to sit by someone and not say anything... yes of course it may give the appearance of being on its way back butIf scum bags like him say stuff like that and no one says anything... well he'll just say it again the next game. If he gets kicked out the ground for his comments then he is likely to think twice next time isnt he?

There are still plenty of rednecks around Leicestershire, some of whom attach themselves to our club.

But this type of incident occurs far less frequently than it once did.

I'd hope that fcukwit would be reported, if not confronted. The club would find it relatively easy to identify him by his seat number.

Must be something about watford.

I witnessed some fairly high profile leicester fans making comments towards Al Bangura 2 seasons ago. They were also smashing seats but that is off topic.

Kind of a completely off topic - but did anyone else laugh when they read that Diouf supposedly said to the ball boy, "**** off white boy"? I was just wondering if this offended anyone?

Maybe it's because i'm in the white majority, but any form of racism to white people really, really has no effect on me.

I've always thought those comments were not particularly racist, more a jibe at his passport status. There were other far worse chants that night.

Anyway, there's always some idiots out there, by the sound of it this was a comment made by one person. I'm not condoning it and I would expect someone to confront or report the guy but at the same time it's hardly a sign that we're going back to the 80's is it...

I sense there is a level of ignorance increasing amongst society with the current climate being the way it is and the far right groups making the most of it. But it's far far away from the 80's!!

If anyone does here anything racist or really disturbing it must be reported to the stewards, only by reporting incidents there and then and having those banned will deter people from being openly abusive!!

Reporting it to the stewards should have been an absolute must. I'm sure then that others around him would have stood up in support of your actions. Confronting him head on may have had the opposite effect and also landed him with a thick ear!

He wasn't black himself though was he? After all I thought it was ok for them to say it to each other!

You should have reported the disabled responsible. It's sad to hear this kind of retarded thinking is still thought of as acceptable by some members of our support.

City still have their fair share of inbreds.

A season or so back we had the sikh Ref (He did one of our games recently gone)

A few 'blokes' in K blck were CONSTANTLY shouting at him.

It actually wasnt racist but the reason WHY they were constantly at him was pretty obvious.

A quick chat with "Ken Bates the steward man" resulted in him and his mates being told to leave.

It was actually embarassing that NO ONE else around him said anything, they just giggled or shook their heads but just carried on listening to them.

Tell the stewards or Police.

No use moaning about it afterwards!!

At the blackpool game I was in the Keith Weller, this bloke was calling the Sikh Indian ref a f**king p**i b*****d shouthing his mouth etc I turned round and had ago at him, his mates had to stop it as it was gonna come to blows. Anyway, looking back at it now I should of just reported to the managment, but I was too pissed at the time and fancied a ruck instead. I made a mistake and now this idiot is still able to come to the games. In future I will report any raciest abuse.

On a positive note I've noticed that it seems to come from blokes who are 40+, youngsters these days seem to accept we live in a multicultural society. When I grew up in the city in the 80's, it was a very different place and there were a lot of raciest attacks.

I remember that - chanting something like came on a ferry, we heard you came on a ferry.

Very poor, very low and totally out of order.

Luckily(like almost all the FTers i've been lucky,or unlucky to meet!!!) the majority are decent folk.

Every race has its pricks.

Not a big deal really until the minority become a majority!!!

:santa:

lol

It was lorry mate. I know the seats are fooking uncomfortable and a full english and a pint costs about 18 quid but I wouldn't say that telling someone they travel by ferry is very low or offensive.

I know what you mean, doesn't affect me at all.

However what did annoy me was that if he did say that then he's an even bigger twat for claiming that the everton fans threw bananas at him, how does he think he can make something like that up when there are cameras everywhere?!

Not being racist* BUT he IS abit of a **** anyway isnt he???

* he would be a **** if he was white too!

I've personally never heard any racist abuse directed at players when I've been with City but if I did I'd definitely report it to a steward. That may make me a grass but I'd hate to think that fans of other clubs would associate such idiocy with our club, the last thing I'd want to fans to call us is a racist club because I genuinely don't see our support that way.

Wasn't there another about passports, like "where's your passport gone" or something? Whatever it was I remembered thinking it was pretty harmless really.

Yes, but the difference is that the Marxists won't condemn that. All racism in Labour Britain is anti-black. Didn't you know that?

What can you say to someone who says something like that though? I mean people who dare shout racist things like that obviously aren't scared of anyone, I wouldn't want to mess with them.

Yeah, great idea. Let's live in fear of the racist scum who pollute our society...
