Fox in a Box Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 After the post match it has been revealed that Leicester City under Milan Mandaric have talks with investors, this is very sketchy at present. The Investors who are American have made inquiries to purchase the club from Milan. He would not be drawn into who it was or how much they were potentially willing to invest but from the tone of voice and given his track record I would suspect that Milan would be willing to sell to the right investor(s). Interesting......... WATCH THIS SPACE! breaking news at lcfcworld
Ozwin Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 If they're bringing in the doe then I'm all for it. That's what we need to get to the next level. Milan doesn't appear to want to spend a great deal from what we've seen.

maddog Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Cute but I'm not sure how that will help us apart from keeping the grass trim Did anyone hear what he said on radio leicester? Stringer said that Milan made some comments or something about investment.
Fox92 Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 He said he isn't selling and these investors arn't going to buy the club, or was that just me?
Jimmy Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Milan won't want to sell until we are a prem club otherwise he's selling for a fraction of what he could get
LCFC-ARAB Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 There must be some rich arab out there who wants to buy us
lavrentis Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 There must be some rich arab out there who wants to buy us I hope not, call me strange or whatever but I wouldn't be happy at all if an arab billionaire bought us.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 It's not a love of football for Milan I feel. It's a business
Suffolk_fox Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 I can't believe how Stringer (who I normally respect) bigged up this interview. It was a nothing story! He said he had had talks with people, and that if someone did come in to invest, he'd think about it. Bloody hell! If anyone wanted to invest in anyone's business, they'd think about it!!! He didn't say he was selling He didn't say he was looking for a buyer (in fact quite the opposite) In my mind, BBC RL are being very much like the OS and the Mockery in making 'No News' stories and hyping them up. What a load of old bollocks!
davieG Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 Milan won't want to sell until we are a prem club otherwise he's selling for a fraction of what he could get Do you know what he might be offered? If we're not promoted this season it he means he bought us for about £600K I believe. If some one offered today £10mill+ and responsibility for our debts I bet he'd be interested rather than wait for the outside chance we'd be promoted. He could also just about boast that we were better off now than when arrived and could give 'family' as a reason for selling. Everyone has their price in football Manderic's no different
LCFC-ARAB Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 I hope not, call me strange or whatever but I wouldn't be happy at all if an arab billionaire bought us. how come? what's the diffeence between a Serbian buying us and an arab?

Are you saying Milan doesn't want us to get promoted this season because that means he will get the club way way cheaper, and therefore hasn't put his hand in his pocket.
lavrentis Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 how come?what's the diffeence between a Serbian buying us and an arab? I don't mind the nationality of course but If a billionaire was to buy us, I would feel we bought our way to success if we ever have some more rather than earn't it. I'm not really a fan of the billionaire investors, like with Man City so I'd probably feel a bit like a hypocrite. Mandaric has money but nothing compared to some chairman.

Because most of the money will only be paid to the ex-shareholders if we get to the Premiership at the end of this season. No I didn't read what I said again. Of course he'll want to get us promoted the monetary rewards for that far out-weigh any payments he'll need to make.

I know you didn't i just think that if we don't get promoted this season and he gets the club on the cheap, then gets us promoted next season and reap the rewards aswell as having cheap club. I just know theres some sort of MM conspiracy going on
Benji Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 They wouldn't get it massively on the cheap, the potential of promotion would be all claused in to the price. Milan doesn't have money by being an idiot.

Might sound a bit hard-nosed but buying players left, right and centre seems to be the route to success these days. How much of a hypocrite would you feel making a trip to the FA Cup final? Or making an away trip in the Europa League? We'd all love for the club to return to those heights but the sad fact is that a hefty bank balance is the only way to achieve it.

davieG Posted 17 October 2009 Posted 17 October 2009 This is news because? I didn't want to post in the Savage thread again. Thanks for the company by the way. On reflection you were right the game wasn't that inspiring but I'm sure my scintillating conversation and company made it worth your while.

The only way to get there is by having a swollen bank account and a generous chairman who has a good relationship with the manager. I daresay it's one of those things we hate to see until it happens to us, there is a little part of us all that is jealous about Man City and their spending. If we were to find an billionaire who was willing to bring stars from across Europe to the Walkers, I guarantee I wouldn't complain.
